Recently my wife and I decided to review our 15-year old pre-arrangements at Faith Chapel. We met with Judi Peters, the Chapel's pre-planning advisor. Judi is very knowledgeable with many years experience in this area and gave us several suggestions to consider in updating our plans. She made the visit very easy and informative, was empathetic, and showed genuine interest in making sure we were comfortable with our decisions. She is the right person for this type of assistance.

I would not recommend Faith Chapel Funeral Home, especially to military families or veterans.
The biggest issue throughout this entire process was the complete lack of communication. We were constantly left wondering what was happening and had to repeatedly call and follow up ourselves just to get basic updates. Susan at the front desk was particularly unhelpful. When it came to getting the death certificate signed and processed, there was little to no communication, and we spent over two months chasing down answers ourselves. That should never be the family’s responsibility.
Another major disappointment was learning after the funeral that they offered a live stream of the service. We had family and friends who couldn’t attend because they lived too far away or had prior commitments. Not once did anyone tell us that a live broadcast was available. Had we known, many of our loved ones could have been part of the service from afar.
What made this experience even more frustrating was that, instead of being allowed to grieve the loss of our father-in-law, we were forced to spend countless hours making phone calls, tracking down signatures, and trying to get updates on the death certificate. Without a death certificate, everything comes to a standstill. Veterans’ benefits, financial matters, and countless legal processes are placed on hold. Being left in limbo for months while trying to mourn a loved one is unacceptable.
When you pay a funeral home, you’re trusting them to guide your family through one of the most difficult times in your life. Instead, we felt like we had to manage much of the process ourselves. The experience left us feeling that customer care took a back seat to collecting payment.
I sincerely hope no other family has to go through what we did.
I recently conducted a funeral for one of our church members. The folks at Faith Chapel did a wonderful job with the service; but more importantly, they never forgot the family in the process. Faith Chapel's work was not merely transactional; it was personal. They genuinely cared for the family in their time of grief.
