Outstanding assistance in our time of need. When your last parent passes away it’s really hard. Mr. John Webb made it so much easier leading us through the processes required to get my mother to her resting place with my father at Barrancas Military Cemetery. He made him self available at times to answer our questions. And, he gave us updates on how the process was going. Thank you so much Kent-Forest Lawn and especially Mr. John Webb for making things flow smoothly.

My 91 y/o father-in-law, (F-I-L), passed away in May of this year (2026), and was laid to rest with Military Honors, at Kent Forest Lawn Cemetary, on Harrison Ave. He had purchased a pre-need funeral package years ago for him and my mother-in-law, and a place in a mausoleum. From the time we arrived for a, "What do we do now?" Meeting, the staff members were very thorough, professional, patient, and caring. The Funeral Director, John Webb, set the standard for caring, compassion, and putting our minds at ease. He arranged the Honor Guard, provided a pastor, at our request, to perform the sermon, invited us to show up as early as we wanted to, and to stay until we were ready to leave. He suggested we get together the day before the funeral, just the family, to be able to spend more time with my F-I-L, and to make sure everything was correct before the Funeral. Now, I have been to other funerals where the deceased looked like a 'dolled-up mannequin.' I can honestly say that my F-I-L looked absolutely phenomenal! At the funeral, several friends and family commented in kind. I would recommend, and trust, Kent Forest Lawn Funeral Home for any of my friends or family. God's Peace!

I recently lost a dear friend who lived to the ripe old age of 98. I can't speak to the "start from scratch protocol" as far as making arrangements for the unxpected loss of a loved one and the process of choosing a funeral home, burial plot, etc. because my friend Don had already done that years ago. As a dear friend for 8 years and executor to his estate, I was in charge of making arrangements for his grave side service and other matters like flowers, obituary placement, casket color, death certificates, etc. This was my first go round with this kind of thing and I had the pleasure of working with one Stephanie Underwood. She is a dream to work with and a true pro at what she does along with being multi talented. Stephanie is authentically kind and understanding and seamless to work with. This sweetie pie even responded to my pesky text questions after hours and on the weekends. It blows my mind that she drives a hearse and embalms the recently departed. Kent Forest Lawn needs to clone about 20 of her.

The presentation was very informative. It answered questions before I even had a chance to ask them. Although we do not have any children, I appreciated hearing the real life scenarios; I have had other family experiences that showed me death brings out the ugliest in people. Kathy shared useful steps to prevent confusion and discord by making all your own preparations for your exit from this earthly body.
