Thank you Ken, Sean, Rene, Justine and Sharon for handling everything with such care and professionalism. The service was beautiful, the music and guest attendance went smoothly, and the photos and prayer cards were a very special touch. Our family truly appreciated the respect shown to my daughter's grandmother.

The funeral home provided exceptional care and support during a very difficult time. They treated my grandpa with the utmost respect and kindness, handling everything with professionalism and compassion. Their attention to detail and genuine concern made a heartbreaking experience a little easier to bear. I am truly grateful for the care they gave to my grandpa and my family.

Their response to the medical center was above and beyond. It was 4:00 A.M. and they wanted remains removed by 6:00A.M. They showed up at 5:15. I was there by myself and didn't get help from the staff. I greatly appreciate that they were there for me.

I wanted to thank you Mr. Tim for a nice job with my dad. You and your team were very compassion and professional. Also I want to tell you that your removal guy Mr Robinson was nice and respectful to the rest of the family. Thank you again.

Frequently Asked Questions About Harvey-Engelhardt Funeral & Cremation Services

Should I choose Burial or Cremation?

Burial in a casket is the most common method of disposing of remains in the United States, although entombment also occurs. Cremation is increasingly selected because it can be less expensive and allows for the memorial service to be held at a more convenient time in the future when relatives and friends can come together. A funeral service followed by cremation need not be any different from a funeral service followed by a burial. Usually, cremated remains are placed in urn before being committed to a final resting place. The urn may be buried, placed in an indoor or outdoor mausoleum or columbarium, or interred in a special urn garden that many cemeteries provide for cremated remains. The remains may also be scattered, according to state law.

Why have a public viewing?

Viewing is a part of many cultural and ethnic traditions. Many grief specialists believe that viewing aids the grief process by helping the bereaved recognize the reality of death. Viewing is encouraged for children, as long as the process is explained and the activity is voluntary.
