  My experience with Kidz Ink and the director, Michelle Duncan has been nothing but difficult and disappointing. My daughter was there from 4 months to 23 months. I noticed the high turnover rate right away and it never got any better in our time there. My daughter would come home with cuts, bites, red marks, even a busted lip and only a hand full of the time did they know what happened to her. She was bit at least 5 times, and they only knew about 2 of them. After being bitten she started to learn that was a way to respond, she is an only child and has never witnessed biting other than at Kidz Ink. Suddenly she became “the worst biter they have ever seen”. When Michele called for us to pick her up, she wanted it done immediately. I told her many times both my husband and I work full time which is why we needed her in daycare. I had a meeting with them (Michele refused and made Destiny do the meeting), I took my daughter to the Pediatrician for evaluation, they even wrote a note for them saying this was normal and she needs to work through it and be watched carefully to correct it. They said they couldn’t put another person in the room because they didn’t have the staff. I told them she wasn’t eating enough (they give very small portions), and she needed some extra snacks, majority of the snacks I sent in came home unopened. They did absolutely nothing to help her, all they did was make it impossible for us as parents and make us feel like we had the worst child in the world. We were paying THEM to watch her, yet it was all put on us to resolve even though we weren’t even there. It was obvious they didn’t properly watch her, or the other kids or they would know where and when the injuries happened, or better yet prevent some of them. It was never a big deal when she had a head injury as infant, but her biting was the worst thing in the world to them. I will also add that several of the incident reports for the bites I never saw or signed, even when I requested them. The same goes for the first head injuries. The bottom line is management doesn’t know how to treat the parents or the staff. The only reason I will give them 2 stars is because some of the teachers really did try despite being overworked and understaffed, and they did teach my daughter a lot in her time there. However my overall experience with Michelle and Kidz Ink Smyrna has honestly been one of the worst, most stressful experiences and I wish I never sent my daughter there in the first place.

  My child has been attending since age 7 months! Just turning 3, my experience has been great! Staff calls for any little issues (which I admire, because I know everything!) Daily reports are always given out and I feel that I never miss a beat!

  I used to love this place when it was under different management. The first day I went to get a list of tuition rates, I was ignored and felt my business wasn't important to them. Just about every week there was an issue with the payments that were made. One week someone lost my check payment and charged me so many late fees. Another week I was told I didn't pay when in fact I did (more late fees). Another week my payment was issued to another student meaning not my child. I had had enough and withdrew my children. The Smyrna location need new management. Bring Ms. Nicole back!!!
