The Child Development Center at DOL is an absolutely wonderful facility. My daughter has attended since age 15 months and loves it. I have had nothing but positive experiences, and the incredible impact that the teachers and staff have had on our family is hard to put into words. The facility itself is so fun and I personally think they’ve got the best playground for a DC daycare by far! It’s HUGE and dedicated just to the center. The teachers and staff are so caring and kind and friendly, and they really do participate in my child’s growth and development every step of the way. Excellent communication, reasonable pricing, and very accommodating hours. They are the best!

This center is absolutely amazing and it’s accredited to the staff and the director. I was so anxious about sending my child to any center but the staff is so welcoming, nurturing, and treats the children with care. My daughter has developed so much since her attendance here. She will be 3 soon and already knows letters, numbers, and colors in Spanish. This center will not disappoint! The staff are total rock stars!

My husband and I have had our three-year old at the DOL Daycare since she was five months old and have loved her teachers, starting in the infant room (Ms. Kita), continuing in the toddler room (Ms. Tasha), the beginner room (Ms. Paula) and now in pre-K. Her teachers, Ms. Michele and Ms. Michelynn, are constantly engaged with the children from reading, music, geography, and science lessons to dance parties and pilates. The administrators, Ms. Jennifer, Ms. Kia, and Ms. Kassie, are cheerful and responsive and helpful and communicative. I'm always impressed because the teachers and staff know my daughter's name - even those teachers who haven't had her in class. I would recommend the DOL Daycare to anyone who is looking for a quality and compassionate daycare/pre-K.

My daughter and I could not be happier with a day care center than we are with the Child Development Center at the DOL. We have been a part of the DOL CDC family since she was 5 months old. She is about to turn 4, and I credit the CDC with igniting a love of learning in her. In addition to a regular (excellent) curriculum, she takes enrichment classes through the week - karate, ballet and tap, and tumbling. The school also offers soccer, music and movement and STEM classes as enrichments. The school and teachers have helped with other aspects of her development, such as separation anxiety, potty training, table manners, learning to share, and how to be a good friend. She loves her teachers and friends in the school, and it seems all the teachers and administrative staff make it a point to know all the students. I feel that that when she graduates to regular school in a bit more than a year and a half, she will be ready to take on Kindergarten, and the rest of her educational career, because of the background she has received at the Department of Labor.
