difficult decision made easy by owner and staff, 7months in now and both parents safe healthy and active in the Seacrest community. started with a rehab stay at another facility where moms insurance denied extended stay while we figured out our next steps in her care, one call to Seacrest and brief conversation and she's was moved in. dad could not stay home alone because of dementia and the need for memory care, he was moved in same day, very rough night at our house wondering and praying they would be ok. the care and coordination set up by owners and Shannon quickly eased our worries, the help and care our parents receive daily Sara, Terry, George Tammy and others (cant put names with some faces) but everyone goes above and beyond their job and have become like extended family to parents when we cant be there, meals are well planned out and homecooked, activities and special occasions planned by Emma and Carissa keep everyone involved and allow families and friends an opportunity to participate. we couldn't be happier with that difficult decision we had to make 7 months ago

Our family's experience with Seacrest was extremely disappointing. When our loved one initially required minimal assistance, things appeared acceptable. However, as his dementia progressed and his care needs increased, the level of support we received fell far short of what was promised. The memory care services and level of assistance described during the admissions process did not reflect the reality of the care provided. As our loved one required more attention, we experienced ongoing concerns regarding consistency of care, communication, responsiveness, and follow-through. It often felt as though residents who needed the most support became the most challenging for the facility to manage and were asked to leave . Families place an enormous amount of trust in memory care providers. We expected compassionate, dignified care and proactive communication. Instead, we found ourselves having to advocate for basic needs, request updates, and address issues that should have been identified and managed by staff. Most concerning was the disconnect between the level of care marketed and the level of care actually delivered. Memory care residents, by definition, require increasing assistance over time. A facility should be prepared to support residents as their needs evolve, not struggle when more involved care becomes necessary. Ultimately, we felt we had no choice but to move our loved one elsewhere to ensure he received the quality of care, dignity, and attention he deserved. Families considering this facility should ask detailed questions about staffing, escalation procedures, communication practices, and how the facility manages residents whose care needs increase over time. This was our experience, and unfortunately, it did not meet the expectations set by the facility. Please note they tried to state he needed skilled nursing yet all the facilities we looked at stated he needed memory care as did the inhouse doctor. Note only the perfect reviews are listed
