  We sent multiple children to Bright Horizons Yale West for several years, from the infant room through kindergarten prep. The care was excellent, and our children were extremely well-prepared for kindergarten, but more than that, I've never thought twice about their safety, health, and happiness at Bright Horizons. It's been a huge relief throughout the years to have Bright Horizons as a constant, steady presence. All the staff have such a great balance of warmth/caring/humor and professionalism/boundary-setting that is hard to achieve! We absolutely chose the right daycare and it's been worth every penny.

  What a lovely center with fabulous staff. My son spent two days here when our regular daycare was closed. You can imagine the apprehension of bringing a toddler to a new (temporary) daycare…but from the moment we met Sam at the front desk I felt reassured. It only got better and better (!) as we met Ayana and Kaila in Toddler 2. Their warmth kindness (and sense of fun) made my son ease into this new space, he felt right at home and part of the Toddler 2 family! The space is beautiful, clean, and has great facilities…I mean those speed demon toddlers have FUN on those cute little tricycles. If we lived closer we would 100% sign up for the full time program based on this experience. A big thank you to all the staff who made this such a positive experience (we’ll be back any time we can).

  My wife and I toured this daycare and were very impressed with the facility and staff. We visited three Bright Horizons locations in total, and this was definitely one of our favorites in terms of overall friendliness of staff and overall vibe. The main difference and ultimately one of the main reasons for us to pick a different location was the pricing structure. This location charges in hourly blocks (up to 4 hours, up to 8 hours, and 8+ hours), which was different from the other Bright Horizons centers we visited that charge a flat daily rate. Overall, I would still recommend this center especially if their pricing model works for your schedule. Otherwise, there are other Bright Horizons locations that offer a more traditional daily rate.

  Looking for childcare is terrifying as a parent (cue the racing heart and unending worry). We've been Bright Horizon Yale West parents for several years now and I can say this is an AMAZING center. Our children started in the infant program so we have not only had the chance to experience each program but work with many of the staff. The teachers and staff are genuine, caring and kind hearted people who truly love what they do. They go out of there way to support not only the children but families as well. The center is always very clean, organized and safe. There are lots of opportunities for parent involvement and daily communication regarding the children's day. The center strives to establish a positive parent partnership with monthly meetings and an open door policy. Even in this pandemic, the administration has implemented new protocols and has made every effort to keep the children and staff healthy and safe. In addition, not only do the children play and socialize but Bright Horizons also provides rich and diverse learning opportunities. The preschool program is AWESOME. Our children not only have developed solid learning skills but they have also had a very positive experience that will set the stage for life long learning. Our children were well prepared for Kindergarten and transitioned very smoothly. We are so very grateful Bright Horizons and the Yale West staff. The piece of mind knowing that our children are safe, happy and engaging in early meaningful experiences is just beyond words. Thank you BHYW for all you do!
