  We had high hopes when our mother moved to Avery Heights, as well as when she entered their rehab facility. Both ended up as disappointments.

  Horrible customer service and treatment; a few hours of our loved one passing away at another facility they call and instead of saying anything kind said “all the more reason to pay us now please”

  I am only rating the dining services at the Hartford location. I was visiting a family member and had lunch with them. I ordered chicken and was very, very dry and cold. The sweet potato had half cut off so was a tiny portion. The coffee was extremely watery. The service took 2 hours as only 2 people working in whole dining room. Subpar food for the $ these people pay is awful. On top of that the waitresses were so rude to these poor people because no one is looking. One woman said "I'd like to take my dessert to go, after she had ordered it to eat in. The waitress said, you didn't tell me that before so now you wait" The woman then said, "I didn't say it cause I knew you would give me a hard time" the waitress says "well, too bad". She also treated another person same way. He wanted his bread on side and it didn't come out that way. He mentioned it and she puts it in front of him n says, "well too bad if u don't want it, I will take it away". If that were my parent I would be appalled at the abusive behavior this woman exhibited. They both had poor attitudes toward these people that only deserve kindness in their old age. .

  Don’t bring your loved ones here . My poor father was here for months he suffered and the Service was poor . I understand sometimes people get busy but the response time was horrible . Bedding was changed like every week . Crumbs and stains were noticeable for days . Transportation was not reliable Questions were always passed on to somebody else . Please keep updates if you do bring someone here . Make sure to ask questions take pictures and videos ! Don’t be quiet see something say something ! Unfortunately my family and I couldn’t afford anything else and had to settle but please just be on top of things !
