Probably the best architecture, of any
Mormon Church building I've been in.
If you are in the Cultural Hall, and look
south, towards the chapel, there is a
window above the overflow area, that
was put there, to put the follow spot,
for plays on the stage. A friend and I
suggested that to the architect, who
did the renovation, in the late '70's.
(That may all be changed. The over-
flow originally had those pleated dividers,
that went all the way to the ceiling, but
were not available for the renovation.)
I haven't been there, since the early
'80's.
It seems this is the new site for the San Jose Temple. Why not in San Jose?
I grew up in this building! Helped a wee bit on the refit.
Why San Jose? Why not Sunnyvale? 771 Fremont road is in Sunnyvale. (771 Fife road, is also in Sunnyvale. I lived there.)
