Our mission is to provide funding for leading-edge collaborative research teams in San Diego, at Moores Cancer Center at UC San Diego Health, the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute, Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego, Scripps Research and La Jolla Institute for Immunology.
Since our first event in 2013, Padres Pedal the Cause has donated more than $7.1 million to fund more than 40 local cancer research projects in San Diego. Thanks to the dedication and generosity of our funding partners, 100% of all operational and event costs are underwritten, allowing every dollar raised to fund life-saving cancer research.
