  I cannot say enough wonderful things about Monte’s Chapel of the Hill in San Anselmo. During one of the most heartbreaking times in my life, Lisa and Fiona were incredibly kind, professional, and compassionate. Fiona, the funeral director I worked with, was so thorough and caring, helping me navigate all the details when I was struggling to process everything. Fiona was especially wonderful, as I was incredibly sensitive and emotional, so I requested if we could be substitute certain words because they were incredibly difficult for me to hear and would send me on a sobbing excursion. Fiona was immediately implementing the new language, that small act of kindness meant so much to me. They treated me with such dignity, patience, and genuine care. I must also add they had such flexibility with letting me see my loved one, and their prices were very fair..... after having one of my friends call around to other places that were closer to my home, I was appalled at other funeral homes inflexibility and charging for every little consensus, I felt like they were taking advantage of people during their grief. Now it's two months later and I keep checking in to see if they have received results for cause of death (I need that on the certificate for some businesses or they don't distribute to beneficiaries.), and Lisa is always polite and gentle with my inquiry. I will always be grateful for the way they helped me through such a painful time. I highly recommend Monte’s Chapel on the Hill.

  Brian Hood and Lisa at Monte's Chapel of the Hills are truly amazing. Brian went above and beyond to make sure my loved ones were cared for and treated with respect. Brian and his team are compassionate, organized, and truly professional. They helped me and my family through some of the most difficult times in our lives with kindness and professionalism. I lost my sister on Christmas Eve and my longtime partner at the end of June. During both heartbreaking losses, Brian made an incredibly difficult process so much easier to navigate. He was patient, understanding, and always available to answer my questions. At no point did I ever feel rushed or pressured to make decisions, which meant so much during such an emotional time. I can't say enough good things about Brian, Lisa, and everyone at Monte's Chapel of the Hills. They have been there for me and my family during some of the hardest moments of our lives, and I will always be grateful for their kindness, compassion, and support.

  The place treated our family so well and with respect. Whoever says anything else is delusional. We definitely will work with them again.

  MONTE'S CHAPEL OF THE HILL IS RATE TOP BECAUSE THEY REALY CARE, GIVE EXCELLENT SERVICE, AND MADE US FEEL SO MUCH BETTER AND COMFORTED IN THIS DIFFICULTY AND LOSS. PLUS THEY NEVER OVERCHARGED! GARY'S REVIEW IS FALSE-MONTE'S CHAPEL DID NOT OVERCHARGE US, AND THEY WERE VERY KIND AND HELPFUL! THEY ACTUALL GAVE US DISCOUNTS!! BRIAN IS A JEWEL!

  The worst experience I ever had in my life when my son died and I was trying to get him military honors for his funeral and Brian the funeral director told me that he didn't do anything wrong that's all he was trying to do . Brian just went to take himself out of the Mistake and I was trying to show him how to fix the mistake and he put me out of the office he wouldn't even speak with me to try to resolve the issue I if I were anybody out there I would never use this place this is the worst and then they overcharged you because I'm paying for this cash out of my pocket and he disrespectful to me my dead son and my family this is the worst experience I ever had in my life and I've been through death experiences before but this I'm telling you go somewhere else there's something I want to add to this Brian the funeral director is withholding my son for me unless I take down this post p I'm not going to do it
