  I found every single member of the staff of Vl of Palo Alto was most excellent! The kindness, Quality of care, Respect, Caution And thoroughness was beyond compare! I hated to leave all those wonderful people and the care they provided for me and for other others around me! I will always be grateful and I thank them, One and all equally!

  I believed in the concept of senior living communities, but I dreaded clearing out my house and learning a different lifestyle surrounded by new faces. However, moving into Vi Palo Alto has been a huge success. The weather is fabulous, the food is very good, the Wellness Center is open 24 hours and the residents are smart and fun. We have lectures from current and former Stanford professors, frequent trips into San Francisco theatres, museums, operas etc. I feel so lucky to have found Vi at Palo Alto!

  The longer I live here (more than 15 years), the more grateful I am that I had the good sense to choose to move here back in my 70s. In addition to my spacious apartment, the delicious and flexible food menus, the wonderful caring and responsive staff in all departments, it also is a matter of convenience. At this property both the swimming pool and exercise fitness machines & bicycles are all under one roof in the Independent Living Building. Both are available to residents 24/7 which I really appreciate, especially in the cold, rainy winter months. The Stanford Shopping Center is a short walk right across the street with Macys, Nordstroms, Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus, a Farmers Market with fresh fruit, vegetables, cheeses, etc from local growers in the Valley, and several restaurants and sidewalk cafes. Stanford Medical Center and Clinics are less than 10 min. away, which provided very quick ambulance transportation to the ER for me when it became necessary.

  I have lived 19 years in this wonderful community, where I always felt secure and protected as a single woman. I do appreciate being part of our mentally stimulating and most interesting environment. It is a privilege to be able to see and sometimes interact with young residents, their families and even pets from Stanford West and from Menlo Park, communities closely located to the Vi at Palo Alto. Our campus is beautiful, our staff friendly and helpful, and we have a variety of choices of venues to enjoy our delicious meals. When we need either temporary or permanent additional services, we can easily obtain them from our excellent Care Center next door. To have relocated from my home and to move to the Vi was the best decision I made to live the next chapter of my life.

  I moved into the Vi Palo Alto three years ago after my husband passed away. I am grateful for the caring community here-both by the staff and the residents. Activities abound- from trips to the ballet to walks on the shores at Half Moon Bay. There are many fun, physical activity classes from Zumba to Line Dancing and exercise is encouraged with the provision of a beautiful pool and workout gym. Our proximity to Stanford University allows us to have access to lecturers who share their knowledge or experiences on current events and other interesting subjects. Last year I encountered some serious injuries as the chair I was sitting in at our lake house toppled over the side of a wall onto a rock quarry. I broke my clavicle and experienced serious skin tears all over my body. I was placed in Skilled Nursing for three weeks where I was cared for by a wound specialist and other well trained staff at the facility. I was also in physical therapy while there and after I was released all I had to do was walk next door! My family is extremely happy with the care I have received here in every way and are grateful I am in a safe environment. I know I made the right decision in choosing the Vi at Palo Alto.
