  I have had the joy of teaching mindfulness meditation at the Vi at Palo Alto, and my experience with the community has been deeply meaningful. The residents are engaged, thoughtful, and open-hearted, and it is clear that many of them are living full and connected lives within a healthy and supportive community. I have been impressed by the atmosphere of care and respect that comes through in my interactions with the staff. They clearly care about the residents and make every effort to make sure they're being supported. The residents bring presence and sincerity to the classes and it has been wonderful to see how much they value the opportunity to pause, reflect, and cultivate greater calm and well-being. I have also been touched by the way they look out for one another and offer each other encouragement, companionship, and support. It is truly a pleasure to be part of this community in a small way, and I always leave feeling uplifted by the people I meet there.

  Mathangi and Alex have been exceptional leaders at The Vi — always with a real finger on the pulse of what residents need. As Right at Home, we've had the honor of hosting a year-long "Navigating Dementia" speaker series with them, along with a support group that has continued to evolve based on residents' own feedback. What stands out most is what I hear directly from residents: how supported they feel within the community, treated with vitality, and never without a system of peers and people willing to listen. It's a partnership we're deeply grateful for.

  I have lived at the Vi for 18 years, and find it an extraordinary place. It is in a great location, but the best part of living here is the interesting and accomplished residents and the friendly and outstanding staff. It also has a very caring and experienced Independent Living Wellness Center staff that provides a number of services to help address resident health issues. It's newsiest service is an outstanding acupuncturist. And the dining facilities food is delicious!

  I moved in 2006. this is a fantastic place for me. when I first came in we had a Men's club with 17 members and we had group dinners at The club room. It was very enjoyable. I've made many friends over the years. It's been such pleasure for me to live here. we also had weekly luncheons. I was involved in many events such as the Valentine's Day Medly where I had a professional pianist and I sang songs for a concert. Overall, it has been absolutely fantastic and I made so many friends. In my stage of life now, I pick and choose, but I'm grateful for the life I've made here.

  After my recent stay in the hospital, I spend 2 and 1/2 weeks at the Vi Palo Alto. I had a wonderful experience with this skilled nursing facility. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable and compassionate. The facility was clean and very well maintained. The physical therapy was outstanding. They have helped me tremendously in getting stronger so that I can be successful in returning to my home. I appreciate the dedication and hard work of everyone at this facility. If you are looking for skilled nursing I would highly recommend the Vi Palo Alto.
