We Are Up was founded to address a critical service gap in our local community and to eventually create affordable housing for individuals with developmental disabilities. Currently, about 200+ Redwood Coast Regional Center (RCRC) clients live in McKinleyville and the surrounding area, yet local services have historically been limited, requiring many to face a minimum 20 minute commute to Eureka for essential daily care.
Rooted on 17 acres in McKinleyville, We Are Up is building an integrated community featuring housing (70+ units when the project is finished), a year-round working farm, gathering spaces and Community Connector Services, woven together into an ecosystem of care.
Our Community Connector Services support RCRC clients, 14+.
