Our two oldest daughters have attended BH Westwood for the past three years. When they first arrived, they did not speak a single word of English. Over these three years, we have been amazed by the kindness, compassion, generosity, smiles, and, above all, the quality of education at Bright Horizons. Our oldest daughter is now entering Kindergarten already able to read in English, very comfortable with addition, confident speaking in front of groups, and able to share stories about her weekend—even though she had a language delay when she first arrived. Our middle daughter is ready for Transitional Kindergarten (TK). She loves going to school because every day is filled with a wide variety of activities: yoga, gymnastics, cooking, gardening, painting, writing, reading, show-and-tell, group discussions about everyone’s weekend, learning about hygiene and independence, as well as conversations about kindness, respect, and personal boundaries. As a parent, I have always greatly appreciated the photos, videos, and detailed updates about their days, what they ate, their nap schedules and durations when they were younger, the teachers’ strong commitment to safety, the detailed learning progress reports, birthday celebrations, and so many other thoughtful touches. My children love learning and are genuinely happy to go to school every day to see their friends and teachers. School is a place of joy for them, and it is easy to feel how much affection and attachment exists between the children and their teachers. The bond is truly mutual. I could not be more grateful to this wonderful team. It is no coincidence that many of our colleagues at UCLA—including physicians, healthcare professionals, and researchers—choose to enroll their children here as well. If I had to do it all over again, I would not change a single thing. I would have been heartbroken to leave this place permanently. The smiles, the warm atmosphere, and the many conversations about raising and educating children have supported me and helped me adapt to a new country over these past few years. Miss Jenny is always available, attentive, and ready to reassure parents, discuss accommodations, and find solutions. She even helped facilitate arrangements for a private speech therapist to work with our daughter. Her kindness, care, and dedication are felt every day, and they are undoubtedly part of what makes this place so special for both children and parents. Fortunately, our youngest child, who started at BH Westwood at six months old, will still be there for at least two more years. Thank you, thank you, thank you for making these years such happy and meaningful years for our children and for our entire family.

Please keep your kids away from this school/daycare. They do not take care of the kids correctly and I had my son come home everyday hungry and I asked him why didn’t he eat and he said the teacher ms. Lupe always takes his food and said he can’t eat if he doesn’t wash his hands. After he washed his hands ms. Lupe served him a teaspoon of rice ONLY while she packed the rest of the food into her bags. I went to see this in action and I saw that my son and other kids were being served a little bit of food. When I say a little bit, I meant half of a spoonful!! This is completely outrageous and ridiculous!!! I do not take my child there to experience hunger and exhaustion. He mentioned that she gives herself food first before serving it. Although I saw ms. Lorraine doing a great job on maintaining her duties, Ms. Lupe completely gave me a bad experience with her work. Again, go to a school that you can rely on their expertise and support for your children! Ask your children about their day! Don’t go by the name Bright Horizons, go by the recognition of the facility you put your child in! This teacher has made me sick to my stomach and I can’t fathom how she does this to other children. There is no professionalism in ms. Lupe at all especially the staff. I spoke about it to the staff and they said they’ll take care of it. Weeks later, nothing was taken care of. My son doesn’t want to go to the daycare anymore because of Ms. Lupe. This is not a daycare, there’s no care in any day you take your child in! Ask your children about their day! Ms. Lupe’s name will ring a bell to the children based on how they were treated and starved by her!

Highly recommend! The leadership and staff are extremely caring, attentive, and inclusive. All the teachers really take the time to know the children and families, which makes the experience personal too. I have full confidence in the safety and care of my children at the center. Also, we love Miss Lupe.

We're fully satisfied with Bright Horizons. We recently had a chance to enroll or kids in a very exclusive daycare but chose to stay at Bright Horizons because we know and trust them. The most important thing is that we feel the teachers truly love taking care of kids, are affectionate, and they have an outstanding range of activities that are both fun and educational. On top of that, they're open more days than pretty much any other daycare we've heard about, and their app is awesome (you get detailed reports of what's going on, with pictures, every single day). Our oldest child went there too and when she transitioned to kindergarten, she was more than ready. Not only in terms of writing letters, knowing their sounds etc, but also on how their daily routine will be different --how bathrooms and lunchtime will work, for example.

Please don't be fooled by the name. Please ask your kid what happened throughout the day. My son attended this day care for 6 months, he experienced 2 same nature accidents where it could have been avoided if the teacher would have paid attention to him. I explained below to just make you understand that why I mean by saying don't be fooled by the name. The kid's restroom is open, so basically kids can go in there at anytime and use the restroom (Of course restrooms are gender mixed). My son was using restroom and his private part was touched by another kid and other activities also happened there. Keep in mind that as per as California State law, a teacher should be present at the time kids are using restroom. However, in our case apparently no one was present and that's why all these happened. The other time a girl pulled his private part at the same spot. They don't teach your kid anything, they after your money.
