  I highly recommend this family-owned business. From start to finish, the entire staff showed genuine compassion and empathy during such a difficult time. They cared for my father as if he were their own family member, which brought our family great comfort. I am truly grateful to the McKenzie Mortuary team for their kindness and professionalism. A special thank you to Bridget for her thoughtful assistance and clear, consistent communication throughout the process.

  I went to McKenzie in Long Beach in search of a mortuary. I had already visited other mortuaries prior to McKenzie. Unfortunately, this place felt and looked very creepy inside. Dark, GHOSTLY AND HAUNTED looking. Definitely not a peaceful serene, tranquil vibe going on here. I could not walk out fast enough. I had to cut the conversation short with person showing me the place. .

  Words simply cannot express how appreciative I am of Ken McKenzie and his staff. My father passed away while at sea on a cruise. He left and returned port in California and he was from Texas. My Aunt contacted Ken as she had used him previously. Ken could not have been more gracious to help our family in our unique set of circumstances. He and his staff went above and beyond. They were not the funeral home who was going to be doing the services, as I had one in Texas lined-up. Ken and his staff did every single thing they could to make sure that my father was not only taken care of appropriately, but they had everything lined-up so that as soon as my father returned to port he was returned home immediately. There were a lot of things that had to be done just right and put into place in order not to delay things. They are experienced, work hard for the family, and they did all of that while bringing an enormous comfort to us. I knew they had the best of intentions for my father. They were in constant contact with me every step of the way. Ken had the answers to every question that I didn't know yet I would have. Ken and his staff could not have been better. I am 100% convinced that I would not have received the same service and compassion from anyone else – and likely never again. I highly recommend McKenzie Mortuary Services.
