Evans-Brown made a very difficult process effortless. They were concerned about my family, me and the dignity given to my wife of 47 years. They never tried to upsell me. They were up front about everything. I felt comfortable being there and discussing what I wanted and needed. One thing I need to note; they have kept in Touch with me personally. I know that when I have questions they will be there for me.

My brother suddenly lost his wife in early June and I've been helping him with all of the aspects involving the trauma of losing a loved one and the practical things that need to be addressed. On the day of her passing the representatives from Evans Brown took great care in transporting his departed wife to their Mortuary in Old Town Lake Elsinore. Allowing my brother about a week and a half or two to come to terms with what has happened, Evans Brown never once pestered my brother or I to come down to complete everything. When we finally had the opportunity to visit Evans Brown to discuss the details, we met with Carrie, and experienced care, concern, and compassion beyond what one would normally expect. Carrie took a large part of her afternoon to talk to my brother and I, handling all of the details and creating a personal connection which I find rare in any business. Carrie's compassion, coupled with the efficiency in which she handled the paperwork, was very impressive. She didn't forget one detail and explained to us that Evans Brown would take care of all of the details and paperwork necessary. Although we didn't expect the death certificates and her remains to be available for some time due to the permit process, both were ready way ahead of schedule. They didn't forget any details as I went to pick up her cremated remains and death certificates, and was surprised that they had also remembered to retain a lock of hair for my brother. When I arrived, I was greeted by Veronica who was extremely friendly, and who introduced me to Tameisha, a very kind, knowledgeable and efficient representative who had everything organized and in order ready for me to take. I greatly appreciated her compassion and as I left, both her and Veronica said their heartfelt goodbyes. Unfortunately Carrie was off that day, but we spoke later in the afternoon by phone when she called to see how my brother was doing. The entire process, including the very fair pricing for the services provided and the compassion and attention and personal concern from these three women was nothing short of astounding and is something my brother and I will never forget.

No one prepares you for the loss of a loved one. You’re not taught how to deal with grief and loss. After the loss of my husband I went into Evan’s Brown in Lake Elsinore lost and broken. I met Carrie as soon as I walked in, sitting down and talking to her was like a weight being taken off me. She had the answers to all my questions and truly took my hand and helped me through it all. She was so incredibly knowledgeable and kind compassionate. She inspired my daughter to go back to school and get her mortuary license with how amazing she was. Carrie is a true blessing, our family could not have done this without her.

Carrie took great care in the final details for my father. At the saddest time she made sure the work was done seamlessly so I could grieve in peace.

Frequently Asked Questions About Evans-Brown - Lake Elsinore

What is the purpose of embalming?

Embalming sanitizes and preserves the body. Embalming makes it possible to lengthen the time between death and the final disposition, allowing family members time to arrange and participate in the type of service most comforting to them.

Does a dead body have to be embalmed, according to law?

The Federal Trade Commission says, "Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial."
