Jack Harding answered the phone—-a voice I will never forget. He offered the three things I needed and was looking for since I had received a call from the sheriff’s office, mid-night, telling me my brother had just lost his life on a Bakersfield highway, in California. My world was spinning and I was groping for a sense of direction; how much time did I have , what steps did I need to take and what did I have to do to get him home. Jack addressed the time I was concerned about by explaining that when the Coroners released my brother, he would be within care of Alpine Crematory and they would let me know. Next, he set up final arrangements for sending him home. Jack helped me complete final computer work and even called me several times and sent tracking information for final information.
