  We are so incredibly sad to be leaving this center as a family! We have lived in 9 states over the course of our military career and utilized a mix of government, private and corporate daycares and “preschools”, this center and the incredible staff FAR outshine any experience we have had to date. From the first call with Ms Patti while I was pregnant with our youngest daughter, thru the first emotional weeks of bringing in our 5 month old baby we have felt a deep trust and so much support over the past year. The teachers are so exceptional and truly work as a collaborative team. Any concern or question we had was always throughly and quickly resolved and speaking to one member of the infant care team always meant that the whole staff knew what was going on unlike many daycares where communication is lacking. A special shout out to Ms Valya, Ms Lilia, Ms Erika, Ms Krystal, Ms Ebony, Ms Veronica and Ms Patti for the compassion and deep care they bring to an incredibly demanding profession. This team goes above and beyond to make parents included and families updated on any events happening. Our Daughter Maisie loves to be dropped off and always perks up as soon as she hears the doorbell when we enter the facility. We will always be grateful for the time we had here and are so sad to have to move again. Much Gratitude from our family to yours Harbor Bay Kindercare.

  I would NEVER send my Child here. I’ve been in this area on more than one occasion where I’ve witnessed children under two years old getting yelled at loudly and scolded, while the person yelling at the child was sitting on a slide not moving, yelling at the child on and off repeatedly for a good 5 minutes. How about you get up and talk calmly to the child, setting and example through empathy and care? My husband and I could hear this woman yelling at the child as we walked a good distance away down the street. We were appalled and ready to walk over and say something. I will be reporting this to the school. Abusive behavior AND I can guarantee if the parents knew their child was getting scolded like this, they would take them out of this school immediately. I even know the child’s name that they were yelling at, which will be reported. For the child’s safety and privacy, I will not write it here.

  Ok, so here’s my thoughts. This Kindercare location is one of a few things or all. Racist, understaffed, or unprofessional. I hate to think the worst in people but this was my experience. I set up an appointment through the proper online channels and got an email confirmation from this Kindercare location. I showed up, early, rung both door bells, one with a camera, no answer. I called twice, no answer, the second time I called I’m sure someone pressed the ignore button because it rung less times then the first. Once I went back to my car within 30 seconds a woman briskly walked out of the door to her car. I didn’t want to approach her because I was afraid of potentially getting maced or the police called on me. I called the online Kindercare service provider and they called the location multiple times, no answer. The caller was apologetic but I chalked it up as another “experience” from the hypocritical sections of California.
