They refuse to take life threatening nut allergies seriously and would rather risk a lawsuit than avoid killing a child.
Cannot believe what I have been hearing about this church. This is not acceptable behaviour from anyone, let alone someone who considers themself religious.
The bible says to care for you fellow man, not try to murder them because you don't think a nut allergy is serious.
Anaphylaxis kills. It is a systemic reaction causing swelling of the throat and airways. Imagine slowly suffocating to death because your youth leader couldn't be bothered to take your severe life-threatening allergy into account. Because this is whats going to happen.
You would rather isolate a 16 year old from all her peers just so you can serve peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to save on cost.
Well, you won't be saving on cost when you are sued for everything you have due to this violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act since food allergies are a federally recognised disability.
Be kind and Do Better.

We take a trip to visit our son every year, and we were on our way back home to Sacramento when one of our tires blew out on the highway. We drove slowly, looking for a safe place to pull over, and then we saw a large parking lot that looked safe — and it seemed like it might be a church. When we turned in, we realized it really was a church, which made us feel even safer. We thank God for guiding us here to wait while the insurance company comes to tow our car for repairs.

I love the recent challenge to note my thoughts and feelings instead of what I'm told. What marvelous experiences when I followed this process.
