I joined this church while incarcerated 24 yrs ago and though life is still hard it is much easier being empowered with the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. It was a big change in my life to join but I only joined because God revealed to me the truth of it while I was locked up and inmates gave me the Book of Mormon to read. The heavens are not closed, God loves us, and a Prophet and 12 Apostles are walking the earth today and sharing vital messages to all the world now.

We just moved here at the end of July, walked in for 9am Sunday services with our 5 kids and 3 hrs later felt at home after attending Sacrament Service, Sunday School and Primary/ Nursery for the kids.
Our boy loves the Boy Scout Program here. The last pac-meeting their must have been 25 boys who got advancements or new merit badges. The choir practices every Sunday before church. The women's group gets together once a week to work on humanitarian aid and other projects. I get together with the men to play basketball once a week late night after the kids are in bed. The 12 and older kids have youth group once a week, and the boys and girls do a combined activity once a month.
After only attending a few weeks we had leaders from the women's and men's organizations stop by to visit and introduce themselves more personally.
There are new families moving in and attending for the first time every week. So everyone is super aware we are all basically new to the area.
It's been great!
