I have had ongoing difficulty communicating with the memory care director, Mari. In my experience, when concerns arise, there is a lack of accountability and a tendency to shift responsibility onto staff, patients, or family members rather than working toward solutions.
In one instance, Mari informed me that a patient had transitioned from assisted living to memory care. I asked what additional services, safety plans, or interventions would be put in place, beyond housing and meals, to address the patient’s needs and help prevent further issues. I was told this would be looked into, I was shocked as she is the director of memory care and should know these things, but no clear plan or follow-up was ever provided.
From what I have observed, the level of care does not seem to match the high cost. Patients in memory care appear to have limited support beyond a room and access to a dining area, with minimal added services or resources. Family members who ask questions are often met with resistance rather than guidance or reassurance.
Overall, this has been a frustrating experience, and I would expect a higher level of communication, accountability, and care for patients and their families.

Clients are frequently attacking staff and residents are victims of their behavior. Management only responds when they are attacked, personally. This creates a very dangerous situation for staff and residents who need to live in a safe environment. For $10K a month families should have confidence that their loved ones safety is Management's FIRST priority.

The only positive part of Savanna House was Jackie at the front. We were greeted with wonderful smiles and handshakes. After we signed my dad up and payed the $$ their demeanor had a big change. And not in a good way. Never enough aids to attend to the needs of the residents. Not the aids fault. They do the best they can. My dad was never happy and we looked for a new location ASAP. I would suggest starting with a group house vs these high price facilities.
