  My recent visit was deeply disappointing, primarily due to Pastor Paul’s sermon and overall conduct. A significant portion of the message—no less than half—was dedicated to an extended personal anecdote about his mountain biking and how he outperformed others on the trail. The story felt self‑congratulatory, irrelevant to any meaningful spiritual lesson, and dismissive of individuals who may not share his level of physical activity. It came across as unnecessarily boastful and out of place in a sermon. Additionally, I felt distinctly unwelcome upon arrival. While greeting attendees, Pastor Paul’s wife repeatedly stared at me in a way that was uncomfortable and uninviting. Instead of being welcomed into a faith community, I felt scrutinized. Overall, this experience left me with the impression that the environment is neither warm nor spiritually grounded. I will not be returning. Fortunately, there are many other churches in the area where visitors are genuinely welcomed and where leadership demonstrates humility and sincerity rather than pettiness.

  Our family came to Arizona for 3 months for work and finding a church to get connected to was a priority. We happened upon First Baptist Church, Chandler from a Google search hence why i feel compelled to share our experience. When looking for a church our must haves were - a children's program that is safe,welcoming, nurturing, shares scripture and pray with and for our kids. ✅️ (Shout out to Miss Linda!) - Pastor and staff that are steeped in Biblical wisdom and more importantly have hearts to share God's Word with confidence even when those truths are unpopular in the eyes of the world. ✅️✅️ Beyond those things we knew the other things we wanted (mostly community) were just as much of our responsibility as it was the people in the congregation. In our short 3 months of attending we met some of the most AMAZING people and had the opportunity to attend a BBQ hosted by the church and a zoo day with some other families. We were also invited to dinner by another family (Thanks Jeremy and Jenaya). All that to say, I'd highly recommend this church and am planning on going back next time we are in Arizona. Thanks so much First Baptist Church of Chandler!!

  My husband and I have been members of this church for more than 35 years. It is a great place to learn the Word of God and experience great fellowship.
