  I have been a member of the Pelham YMCA for almost 20 years. It feels like home to me. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I enjoy the multitude of group fitness classes offered including Ycross, BodyStep, BodyPump, BodyFlow, Cycle and Yoga to name just a few. The instructors are the best. They meet you where you're at and always show modifications. I have to give Melissa Barksdale, in charge of Group Exercise, a shout out. She listens to the members and has made several improvements to the Group Exercise program. The cardio and weight equipment has been updated to state of the art equipment. I always appreciate how clean the staff keeps the locker room. And I can't say enough about the new executive director of the Pelham Y, Henry Knejfl. He is always visible and talks to all the members. I have spoken with him several times and he does what he says he is going to do! With the closing of the Alabaster Y, Pelham gained many new members. Many changes were made to accommodate the increase in membership. Henry communicated the changes that had to be made and did a great job meeting the needs of all members. If you're looking for a family friendly place to workout, I highly recommend the Pelham YMCA.

  My happy place! I love the pools and all of the amenities offered in the pool areas. The staff is very kind and helpful.

  Great facilty with new updated equipment. Numerous class offerings focused on different ages,interests and abilities. Friendly people.
