  I can’t recommend GulfView Counseling and Wellness enough! Working with Colleen has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. Colleen is kind, knowledgeable, and deeply invested in helping me heal and grow from the things I’ve experienced. Her office manager, Jack, is friendly which adds to the welcoming and therapeutic atmosphere.

  I would not recommend Gulfview Counseling. Appointments were always started late and there was a consistent lack of professionalism throughout my experience. On multiple occasions, I observed Colleen smoking immediately before appointments, which created an uncomfortable environment for her clients. When I arrived for my last appointment, Colleen was already 25 minutes late and went outside to smoke. After waiting for almost 30 minutes past my appointment time, I was then told I would have to reschedule because my intake paperwork was incomplete and she “didn’t have time” to print the paperwork before her next appointment. I had been seeing Colleen for months before this incident with no issues regarding administrative intake/patient portal. In addition to the tardiness, the office staff member, Jack, was very demeaning during our interaction and spoke in a sharp, unprofessional tone. Rather than being helpful or understanding, the communication felt rude and dismissive, which added to an already frustrating experience. The situation felt very unprofessional and disrespectful of my time, especially considering the appointment had already started significantly late due to her delay. After I left, I received a text message from Colleen stating everything I supposedly could have done to avoid the reschedule, rather than attempting to resolve the situation professionally or acknowledge the inconvenience caused by the late appointment and communication issues. The response felt defensive instead of solution focused. Communication and reliability are extremely important in mental health services, and unfortunately those standards were not met. I will not be back.

  Colleen was late to multiple appointments and promised credit to discount the next, which ended up being untrue. Don’t waste your time, extremely unprofessional and disrespectful to my time.
