  Very seamless process. Very personable and understanding staff. Mrs/Ms Tamika and Brittany were especially amazing. They made the process so easy for us. I truly do appreciate everything that was done for us. Wishing you all the best.

  Outstanding services!! Mr. Brian Byers, funeral director and the Davenport and Harris Funeral Home family was a true blessing to our family in December after our brother passed. Mr. Brian Byers went over and beyond in taking care of our family during the preparation for our brother’s graveside service. The compassion Mr. Byers showed when meeting with our family several times was genuine and comforting. The entire team showed tremendous respect, caring and professionalism from the beginning to the end giving our family peace of mind and closure. Mr. Battle did an outstanding job on the obituary. He was very patient with our changes. Thank you so much Davenport and Harris family for the excellent beautiful graveside service you delivered for our brother. I highly recommend Davenport and Harris Funeral Home services.

  This was the most unprofessional funeral service. The limo was late. The funeral director had no class. The prayer for the family was done outside. The procession was not organized for cars to follow limo. No stickers for car visors were visible for funeral procession. The police was moving so fast cars were speeding to catch up. Arriving at the venue, so many unorganized people directing traffic. The director had not open limo doors to let out family. The director had no control of who should move so the family could enter the church. Instead of walking in two's for family seating we walked with no direction. The funeral staff had no class. Instead of wearing uniform colors(black) they had brown and other confusing colors. When it was time to leave the limo had to position it self to try and be lead car. This was a disgrace. As we arrived at the cemetery, I guess the Second in command a light complexed woman rush everyone to leave. This was a close relative buried June 26, 2019 at Zion Star Baptist Church. I work for a funeral home and I am embarrassed.

  A job well done! My hats go off to the superb staff at Davenport & Harris. They provide excellent and professional services to families during one of the most difficult times a person will face; burying a loved one. Mr. Sterling was so informative and very professional and gave us great pointers to make sure we did not get entangled in fraud. Ms. Gary was a jewel. She is very professional and will make sure all of the paperwork is accurate and make sure the obituary is exactly how you want it to be. If in doubt of selecting a funeral home, let Davenport & Harris take care of you during one of the most difficult times in your life. Trust me, they made the process of burying my dad much easier than I thought it would be!
