I visited this LDS church for Sunday service. Building was clean and parking was simple.
Based on my research into science and history, I do not find the church’s foundational claims about human origins, Book of Mormon civilizations, or archaeology to be scientifically possible. Modern genetics, evolution timelines, and lack of archaeological evidence for horses/steel/crops in ancient Americas don’t match those claims for me. I also found the required 10% tithing and strict expectations inconsistent with the personal autonomy I look for in a community.
Because of those differences, this church was not a fit for me and I left. If you prioritize faith over scientific evidence and are okay with mandatory tithing, you may have a different experience here.
Service was about 1 hour.
