  The caretakers are wonderful at taking care of this cemetery despite the homeless community downtown. There are many community volunteers who come and help keep things tidy. A wealth of our state's history is located within the fencing.

  Ovo je istorijsko groblje u Anchorage-u, Alaska, SAD. To je najstarije i jedno od najvažnijih groblja u gradu i deo lokalne istorije koja seže još do ranog 20. veka. Prostire se na oko 22 hektara a osnovano je 1915 godine. Ovde je grob mnogih poznatih licnosti pa i Leopold David – prvi gradonačelnik Anchorage-a. Groblje ima oko 17,500 parcela, ali se javne parcele brzo pune. Groblje takođe poseduje columbarium zid sa hiljadama niša za urne (kremirane ostatke), što se smatra dugotrajnijom opcijom za memorijal.

  The orders that are placed through the cemetery are very high priced and should be properly placed when a family orders a headstone. 🪦 the fact that families pay large amounts of money for the headstone not to be mounted down is crazy! I'm sure you're over charging for things customers have already paid for when purchasing the headstone!

  Lots of historic burials. Very nice to walk through. Have occasional events for the public.
