I see Doctor Kabir and he is really nice and always listens to me and my concerns. I have been seeing him for 2 years and that’s the only reason I keep going. Amanda in the pharmacy is rude. I understand having a bad day but every time I talk to her it’s like she doesn’t even want to be there and doesn’t want to help me in anyway. Like today I needed her to send a note to my doctor that I am going out of state for a week and needed to get my medication filled, which my pharmacy had already sent over, and I had to beg her to send him a message saying I was leaving town for a week so I wanted to pick up my medication this morning before I left. She said she sent the message to him but I’m not sure if she did. She told me he has 24-48 hours to send it but I told her he usually does it the day I send it in but she was no help at all. Like isn’t that your job? To help me? I’m extremely frustrated and I don’t know how she still has a job there!!

Dr Murthy Konappa
He told me to stop taking what he prescribed due to the increasing pain and cramps and scheduled me to come in to figure something else out. When i came for the follow up he tried to prescribe the same thing he just told me to stop taking i told him he had already prescribed that and that im here because he told me not to not take it anymore and that i thought we were going to figure something else out. He then says “well I don’t know what to tell you, but the only other thing that I can do for you is a colonoscopy and you need insurance and money for that and you don’t have that” and walks out of the room. I (a severely traumatized mentally ill adult) just walked out crying. I did make a report to patient advocate, and i called my insurance to see if id be able to get a colonoscopy if needed she told me yes as long as Dr Murthy sent them the referral they would approve it and go from there. I immediately called Dr Murthy office and spoke with the nurse letting her know the same thing i had just been informed of. I hadn’t heard back until this week i was alerted i have an appointment today i figured it was for the colonoscopy so i went in. The first thing he asked me was if i was still experiencing the same symptoms i stated yes but that my pcp did prescribe a couple of medications and that they do sometimes help but they also sometimes don’t then he asks me if i tried the metamucil and (the prescription hes already prescribed me) I told him hes already prescribed that and that i tried that the first time and that the pain only increased and that thats why we stopped it then he says well i can do a colonoscopy but you don’t have insurance he literally repeated the exact something he did the last appointment not only did he try to prescribe the same thing a third time but he used the same “all i can do is a colonoscopy and you need money and insurance for that” so i tried to explain to him i called his office april 17 and told them what to do to get the OKAY to do the colonoscopy and that i also spoke with my insurance and they said for him to submit the paperwork so they could approve it and instead of letting me finish talking he started arguing with me telling me i was wrong and thats not how this works and that hes been doing this for 20 years and that he doesn’t submit anything and that I don’t know what I’m talking about and walks out of the room.
I called my insurance to let them know what he said “that he doesn't have submit anything to anyone” and she told me that he is wrong and that she would contact his office (to tell him what i had tried to explain to him).
His receptionist came to apologize for his behavior and explain to me he misunderstood me and that there was a miscommunication and that he didn’t look in my chart to see i was covered by insurance. The nurse left a similar voicemail as well.
YES I have already made a report the first time he exhibited this behavior yet his behavior is the same.
Foul behavior
Poor bed side manner
Prescribed me the same thing three times
Admitted to not verifying whether i had insurance or not
Argues instead of communicating
Didn’t let me speak nor listen to me
I come to the doctors to get help not to argue or be made to feel like I’m not important or don’t matter or can’t speak. I also didn’t feel up to his standards
Again I have already reported him twice and his behavior hasn’t changed this time i will not be coming back and i will be reporting to the necessary departments.
Update I made the necessary reports all for nothing to be done because the doctor used the excuse “that he didn’t know”.
