  Phoenix Arise Counseling provides excellent care to their clients. The staff is very organized, professional, shows empathy and respect and makes you feel at ease from the minute you walk in the door. The office is updated and provides a clean, calm and welcoming environment. I highly recommend this practice!

  The counselors are great, but Dr. Nicole Black is unprofessional and runs her office with profit over patients and staff. A simple coding error on their end was quickly fixed by my insurance company, yet Dr. Black insisted I pay out of pocket and blamed my counselor. It was clearly a billing mistake, not an insurance issue as she claimed. During the same conflict going on, I was dealing with a crisis and in tears because of my situation, the same situation that led me to seek trauma counseling and I was also met with very degrading remarks from Dr black. Sorry, but being called a “prickly patient” left a sour impression. She also refused to allow her counselors to work at other practices. I had a counselor I had to abruptly end services with because Dr Black found it to be a threat to her own practice which contributed to more harm in my seeking counseling. Overall, I’d choose a different practice that won’t put you in harms way for a buck or two.

  A beautifully furnished practice that is a welcoming space for clients. Dr Nicole Black is amongst the best in her field and puts West Texas on the map for trauma and dissociation. She is a highly trained expert in her specialty, a dedicated supervisor and also runs a stellar business.
