- RTRafael TacakiOct 14, 20241.0I moved to this white suburb town in TX, at first everyone was so nice and welcoming including the bishop, as soon as I told everyone I was gay I never heard a word back from members or the bishop. I was struggling financially during the pandemic because I was an international student at SHSU, soon enough I asked bishop Ashton if I could use some help from the food pantry (I never asked for money) but his response was “contact your school and use theirs”. After that I realized that those people were only willing to serve others if you act, behave and think like them. Very conservative, white and unwelcoming! I do not recommend this place.
