  It's hard to put into words how much this school meant to us as a family, but I will try. Our daughter attended this school since she was 7 months old until she was almost 5 years old (2021-2025). Our son attended for a little less than a year until we had to move outside of Houston. In the four years we spent a this daycare, our experience was nothing short of exceptional. No place is perfect, but Oak Forest Academy really tries to get it right. Our children were loved and cared for. Our daughter was writing her name and knew all her letters at 4 years old. She was excited for the various activities, her friends, and her teachers. The various activities provided at the school really fostered a fun and playful learning environment. This school fosters a sense of community like no other. Parent groups helped keep open communication with the school and the school handled feedback from parents really well. As new parents, we were able to make great friends and really feel a part of a community here. This was so important since our first born was born during COVID. Both of our kids dealt with various allergies and this school was able to accommodate and provide alternatives. The meals were nutritious and our kids loved them. The Chef is wonderful and open communication with the classrooms, admin, and kitchen helped keep our kids safe despite dealing with various allergies. From the minute you park, you are greeted by the school security that helps keep our kids safe. This provides so much peace of mind. The teachers are wonderful and genuinely care for your kiddos. Both of our kiddos grew and learned so much here, especially our daughter. She talks about OFA often and how much she misses it. I know the waitlist can be frustrating, but this is truly a wonderful place to send your kids and worth the wait. I have searched high and low for a similar place in our new city and have yet to find something that compares. Thank you OFA for four wonderful years! We miss you dearly!

  My daughter attended OFA for 2 years, absolutely love this day care and would recommend it to anyone. Unfortunately, we moved from the area and we will miss it so much!

  Gosh where to start with Oak Forest Academy (OFA). This place, it's owner(s), staff & teachers are just amazing. They care... they really care about your children. I can only judge them on my kids and I can say they have both flourished. The program is exceptional with a real focus on learning & development. Having opened right in the midst of the Covid pandemic, OFA has had it far from easy. But they have come through it and go from strength to strength. My daughter has just excelled at OFA. To Mia Heil, her husband Joe and the wonderful people there, keep doing what you're doing. It will be a sad day when we leave to move north and we will all miss the amazing things that OFA has made possible. THANK YOU! The Larkins

  My son has attended OFA since their opening year. We have been so happy with the care provided and impressed with the curriculum they put together. It definitely is a preschool environment and not just “daycare.” Examples of some unique curriculum themes include Spanish lessons and time in the school garden. OFA leadership did a great job navigating the pandemic era, balancing safety and ability to provide predictable childcare. I believe teachers are happy and we have had minimal turnover. We really love that the school works to create a “community” feel with the addition of class parents, themed weeks throughout the year, and a couple school wide festivals twice a year. Their hours of operation are also very convenient (7a-6p). They have implemented safety measures such as code access front door entry. I like having access to a class camera to peek in from time to time. I also really like their system for communicating with parents through their app. The food they serve kids is made in house by OFA chef’s and they even have a couple days a week where families can purchase to go family style meals to take home for dinner!!! The facility is sparkling clean and the hallways and classrooms are pleasantly decorated with engaging colors and themes. We are so thankful to have this greats school in the neighborhood.

  This has been such a wonderful experience for my kids. The teachers are top notch. The facility is new and is always being taken care of. The admin staff is so kind and helpful. I can't say enough of this place. My eldest has been here basically since they opened. And he's always been well taken care of. He loves school so much thanks to OFA that he can't wait to get to kindergarten! The chefs are fantastic. The vegetarian meals are always loved by my kids. And I can't say I haven't wanted to try it every time I have to pick one of my kids up during lunch time. My younger one has grown up so much here From a shy little toddler to loving friends and teachers. From gardening, to Spanish, to the summer science program, nothing has really been a big miss here. We've been very very happy! I wouldn't change our experience at all if I had to redo it all over again!
