The vision of our 501(c3) nonprofit organization is that ALL people have the opportunity to reach their fullest potential through the power of work. Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee is based in Nashville, Tenn. The agency serves 48 counties throughout Middle and West Tennessee, operating 30 retail stores and two outlet stores, about 53 Donation Express Centers and 13 Career Solutions Centers. The nonprofit is one of Tennessee’s largest employers of people with disabilities with more than 45 percent of our workforce reporting some type of disability or disadvantage. Although affiliated with Goodwill Industries International in Rockville, Md., we operate independently through our own governing board of directors. Goodwill accepts gently-used items that donors no longer want, need or use. Those items are sold either in our retail stores or online at onlinegoodwill.com. Revenue from the sale of donated goods helps fund job training services and programs provided by Goodwill Career Solutions. In addition to retail sales, Goodwill depends on several other revenue sources, including state and local grants.

Last week I was in the White House Goodwill and I will say it was nice and clean great grabs to find and I met a very sweet lady I believe her name was Amanda she was helping with a few things then at the end of my shopping she also checked me out what I learned is that she is vision and hearing impaired WOW this is why I shop at places like Goodwill giving her the opportunity to work there she was telling me how she loves her job the people good to her. What a great worker! Definitely will be back!

This Goodwill like others puts out mostly junk. Filthy sofas, broken chairs, dirty shoes. 50% of the items I see in this place should be in the garbage. I wonder why they allow people to drop off large items in such bad shape. A little dust I can understand, but sticky , dirty items is no good. Just my honest opinion. I still like to stop in because you never know what you might find, but I leave this place empty handed a lot.
