The vision of our 501(c3) nonprofit organization is that ALL people have the opportunity to reach their fullest potential through the power of work. Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee is based in Nashville, Tenn. The agency serves 48 counties throughout Middle and West Tennessee, operating 30 retail stores and two outlet stores, about 53 Donation Express Centers and 13 Career Solutions Centers. The nonprofit is one of Tennessee’s largest employers of people with disabilities with more than 45 percent of our workforce reporting some type of disability or disadvantage. Although affiliated with Goodwill Industries International in Rockville, Md., we operate independently through our own governing board of directors. Goodwill accepts gently-used items that donors no longer want, need or use. Those items are sold either in our retail stores or online at onlinegoodwill.com. Revenue from the sale of donated goods helps fund job training services and programs provided by Goodwill Career Solutions. In addition to retail sales, Goodwill depends on several other revenue sources, including state and local grants.

This Goodwill like others puts out mostly junk. Filthy sofas, broken chairs, dirty shoes. 50% of the items I see in this place should be in the garbage. I wonder why they allow people to drop off large items in such bad shape. A little dust I can understand, but sticky , dirty items is no good. Just my honest opinion. I still like to stop in because you never know what you might find, but I leave this place empty handed a lot.

- ACAngie ComptonSep 11, 20251.0My FIRST and LAST trip to this Goodwill location. The cashier acted like she would rather be anywhere than behind the register. Spoke at a whisper and then appeared angry because I had her to repeat herself because of not being able to hear her. There were 5-6 customers in line behind me. Then removed my items from the hangers and just left them laid in the counter didn't even attempt to fold them. I had no clue I had to bring in my own bag so I basically just grabbed my clothes in a huge wad to get out of the way from the next customer behind me. Horrible customer service. Won't be back. Never received this kind of treatment when it was Bargain Hunt at this location. So beware everyone who doesn't know, bring your own bag to carry your items bought and just know you will have to either fold any clothing items yourself or just simply carry them out like you're taking the trash out🙄.
