- CCChelsie CheneyJun 13, 20252.0I'm a member who has been in the area a year... church is supposed to be about community but no one knows who I am there, and when I try to talk to others after services everyone seems to be in such a hurry. The handful of times I have been able to attend (work most Sundays), I feel judgment for having my service animal. He's there for a reason - to keep my blood sugar at a safe level. He is not there to pet when his vest clearly says "service animal, do not pet," and on the flip side, he is not there for people to be disgusted that there's an animal at church and make unwelcoming comments and expressions towards us. I can't wait until I find a job elsewhere and transfer my records out of there.
