My daughter attended this daycare for almost three months, and it turned out to be a truly wonderful experience. The staff were friendly, attentive, and reassuring from the moment we arrived. The environment is bright, well-organized, and full of engaging activities for the children. My daughter especially loved the outdoor play area and often talked about it at home. The short-term parking right out front also made drop-off incredibly convenient. She is typically quite reserved and often became upset during drop-off, but the teachers handled those moments with patience and kindness. A few hours later, they would email the snapshot to let me know she had settled in and was happily playing with other children—a thoughtful gesture that always put me at ease. By the time I picked her up, she was usually having so much fun that she didn’t want to leave and often asked if she could come back the next day. That reaction alone speaks volumes. We had a wonderful experience and would gladly return. Thank you to the team at BH at Philadelphia Cathedral!

The Director of this center is absolutely unreliable. Every time I call in the afternoon, she is never there. I’m told she always leaves early and the staff cannot depend on her.

We recently used this daycare center through my employer’s backup care benefit, and I couldn’t be more impressed. From the moment we walked in, everyone was incredibly kind, caring, and communicative. The facility itself is beautiful—clean, bright, and filled with toys and activities, including a playground my daughter absolutely loved and still talks about! As an added bonus, there's free 20 minute drop off parking directly in front. My little one is usually very shy and was understandably upset when I dropped her off, but the staff handled it with such compassion. A few hours later, I received a thoughtful phone call letting me know she had settled in and was happily playing with new friends. That call meant the world to me and really eased my mind. By the end of her time there, she didn’t want to leave—and was actually sad she couldn’t go back the next day. That says everything. I’m so grateful we had the chance to experience this wonderful daycare, even for just a few days! We will absolutely return. Thank you BH at Philadelphia Cathedral!

My daughter is soon to be 2 years old and has been with the Philadelphia cathedral bright horizons since she was 6 months old. I cannot say enough positive about the teachers and staff at this daycare. They really pour their heart and soul into not only your child, but also their relationship with you. As first time parents, my husband have really leaned on the entire team as our extended family. My daughter actually looks forward to daycare and says “bye!” to me. They understand what it is like to be a working parent and take the time to make you feel a part of the events at daycare. Even though I felt like I would miss out on a lot due to my profession in health care, the daycare staff have been so critical in helping me feel involved and giving me peace of mind to know that my daughter is well cared for and so deeply loved. They have managed the COVID-19 pandemic seamlessly. The communication is on point and they keep us posted on any happenings at the center. They do regular temperature checks and symptom screening. They’ve also held virtual family events that are center wide to continue the community feel despite pandemic times. The staff have checked in on us personally as parents/individuals, and they are gentle and loving with our kid. The facility is clean and well-maintained. They make it easy, as much as parenting and working can be “easy”. We are also cloth diapering, which they have incorporated seamlessly and always respected. It really is a family feel and they redefine the commonly used phrase in childcare, that it “takes a village.”
