We've been with this center since our son was an infant at 20 weeks old (who is now a little over 2 years old), and have absolutely loved it! Throughout our time here, he has moved from the infant room to the toddler room to the Twos room, and each experience has been great, always with wonderful caretakers. We were so sad to leave Bright Horizons at the end of this year, and are only doing so to attend a language-immersion school for some second-language exposure during our son's early years. However, we are already planning on bringing our kid back occasionally for back-up care needs!
All of the staff and teachers at Bright Horizons Center City are so warm, caring, and communicative. Everyone at the center knew our son, not just the caretakers in his classroom. We always got prompt notifications via an easy-to-use app of everything that went on in our son's day-- ie like when he was an infant, every single tiny little nap was recorded, as were his meals (bottles/how many ounces he'd drink each time, etc).
I had some much peace of mind each and every morning bringing our kiddo to BH-- so much thanks to each and every stellar member of the BH at Center City team! Much love, Doris
We and our little one loved Bright Horizons at Center City. After a couple week transition period, our baby got settled and over the next 10 months bonded closely with two lovely teachers. The communication (via live app updates and phone calls for any important issues) is excellent. A lot of the core staff members have been there a long time and bring superb energy. Would definitely recommend.

We had such a wonderful experience with Bright Horizons Center City. Our daughter started in infant care and moved up to a toddler room before we made the tough decision to change to a daycare closer to home. We still miss it and everyone dearly!
The staff are SO wonderful and it's clear that they're not only seasoned childcare professionals but also really care about the kids. They've created a community that feels safe, loving, and nurturing. Ms. Tashia, the Assistant Director, has been at the center for years and she is such a kind and welcoming presence. She's the first person you'll see each day and will always ask you how things are going and will gladly chat with you about your little one, or her own grandchildren :) Our toddler teacher, Ms. Shihemma, was truly the BEST. She also made it a priority to ask how we were doing each day and I felt so comforted knowing that our daughter was in safe, loving, and capable hands.
The communication at the center is top notch. The Bright Horizons app is seamless and easy to use and we received multiple notes, updates, and pictures, posted in real time, of our daughter's diaper changes, meals, naps, and activities throughout the day. They schedule activities/ events with the season (e.g. outside water play twice a week during summer), and they have special pop-up events throughout the month and a monthly call for parents.
Leaving your child in someone else's care is such a challenging and vulnerable feeling. But knowing our daughter was receiving such great care, and truly thriving there, made it a much easier transition. I can not recommend this center enough! Also, they are one of the few daycares that offers part time infant care, which is quite difficult to find in Philly, so we will absolutely be back when we have baby number two!
Bright Horizons Center City has the best, most caring, and wonderful teachers and staff... truly a dream team. All of the teachers (but especially Ms Shihemma!) go above and beyond to make your baby feel safe, loved, and nurtured, and to make you feel like your baby is in trusted hands. I could sing their praises all day, but let me tell you why.
1. They Communicate Proactively: We first started sending our child here via backup care at 12 months old for what we thought would be 2 weeks. It was my little one's first time in group care so we were nervous about how it would go. Aside from the normal tears at drop off, our child acclimated quickly. And we knew it because their communication was SPECTACULAR. The teachers send pictures, videos, and notes throughout the day. They are also very responsive to messages sent via the app or if you call the front desk. They are very by-the-book, and call immediately if there is an incident (e.g., fall/scratch, bite, etc.). That’s how you know you can trust a center: when they go out of their way to communicate even the hard things.
2. They Care: Every morning, Ms Shihemma would ask how the little one slept, and got my kiddo setup with their morning snack. Beyond my child’s direct teacher, all of the other teachers greet or wave to your child as you are dropping them off or picking them up. They know each child by name and are so sincerely caring. You can really feel that the teachers love the kiddos and their work. My only hope is that Bright Horizons takes care of its staff with the love, attention, and care they deserve and that they pour into the kiddos each day.
What was meant be 2 weeks of backup care, turned into 5 months of full-time enrollment. The only reason we left was because it was too far from our home (I'm talking 45-60 mins each way during rush hour).
I will say that the only downside of this location (and not the program itself) is for anyone dropping their child off with a car. There is no loading zone in the mornings, and PPA spends too much time on this block. Even dropping my kid off for 5 minutes with my emergency lights on and a note saying I am dropping off my child at daycare, PPA would still write tickets.
Despite the parking situation, I would still rate this experience a 10/10 because my child THRIVED and LOVED Bright Horizons. Thank you Ms Shihemma, Ms Tashia, and all the other wonderful teachers and staff who made our first daycare experience so special.

I can’t say enough good things about Bright Horzion Center City… They always listened to our concerns and our child loved the teachers and staff. The many pictures throughout the day were a huge plus. Definitely recommend them!
