  Stephen King and his team go above and beyond to help families, whether they are planning for the future or in the midst of sudden sorrow. Stephen demonstrates amazing compassion, professionalism, and attention to detail at every part of the process, whether setting up funeral services, discussing cost options, or navigating through details of dealing with life insurance and death certificates. He comes alongside you and your family in a manner worthy of the highest recommendation. What an amazing human being and funeral director! Both the Lewistown and Reedsville facilities are lovely locations to meet with family and friends to celebrate a loved one as well.

  King- Barr funeral home is the best! From the time we signed my dad’s life insurance policies over they were very helpful! Joyce is really sweet and friendly who works in the office. Steven was very helpful, kind leading up to my dad’s passing. When they were called to come get my dad in state college, the undertaker that I didn’t get his name was very nice ask if I needed more time, allowed me to help move my dad( as I wanted to help) met with Steven the next day and he helped take care of EVERYTHING. He was willing to have the service that Monday or the following whichever we wanted. They also sent me a link to send them picture and put a beautiful slide show video together for the service. The funeral home has plenty of nice parking, the inside is super clean and spacious. King-Barr funeral Home is the BEST! I would never use anyone else! They had a good selection of small urns to choose from, the only thing I wish there were more urns for 2 ppl to select from. Thank you for all your help!   The entire experience with Stephen King was way above perfect. When our Mother passed away, Stephen and his team arrived at her house to take her on her final ride. They all arrived in suits and were VERY respectful to us, her daughters. Being a life long resident of Lewistown, I have had enough experience with other Funeral Homes, that can’t compare to the level of professionalism we experienced with Stephen and his staff. Somehow, Stephen took the worse situation of our lives and made us all comfortable. Trust Stephen, to lead you through the experience.

  Very kind and compassionate during the whole process. Answered any questions or concerns our family had with timely response and detailed answers. The services were made very convenient. I felt my family was in great hands.
