Still waiting for my father’s headstone engraving to be completed (125 days and counting). Initial meeting was on 6/11/25 with Melissa. Melissa stated that the estimated time of completion would be 90-100 days from 6/11/25. She also said that it normally doesn’t take that long but that would be the worst case scenario. Per my conversation with Melissa on 10/14, my wife and I visited my father’s grave, whereby nothing was completed. Zero communication from Cullis Memorials during this 125 day waiting period.

I purchased a flat marker from Cullis Memorials and the experience was great. I had called several businesses in the area and Patty returned my call immediately. She was very kind and helpful throughout the process and provided the fairest price of the 3 quotes I received. I highly recommend this business.

Yes, we do offer in-home appointments. Give us a call to get scheduled.
Do I need an appointment?
No, you do not need an appointment. Scheduling an appointment can be helpful, as it allows us to gather all the necessary information in advance. You choose what works best for you.
What size and style of memorial do I need?
Each cemetery has specific rules and regulations regarding the size and shape of memorials, which can vary depending on the section of the cemetery where your plot is located. Our memorial specialists are available to assist you with this information.
How long will it take to receive my memorial?
You will receive a professional draft within 3-4 weeks. Once you review and approve it, your memorial will go into full production, which takes about 3-5 months. We will notify you as soon as your memorial is delivered to our shop.
Special orders, like special shapes, hand carvings, non-standard sizes or finishes, and some imported colors, may take longer, approximately 6 – 9 months.
Is all Granite the same?
The simple answer is no. There are hundreds of granite types and colors from around the world, but only a few dozen are suitable for monuments.
It’s important to always ask what state, country, or part of the world the granite comes from. For example, there are many types of gray granite. Barre Gray comes from Barre, Vermont, while Classic Gray is from Georgia. Both appear similar on the surface, but Barre Gray is known to be far more superior and will not hold moisture like the less expensive and softer Georgia Gray granite.
We only use Barre Gray Granite from Barre, Vermont. Barre Gray Granite is widely considered to be one of the best granites available due to its exceptional quality, texture, durability, and weather resistance.
Where does Cullis Memorials source their granite?
Cullis Memorials sources its granite from the Rock of Ages quarries in Vermont.
Granite sourced from North American quarries is renowned for its exceptional durability, vibrant color richness, and superior engraving clarity. This high-quality granite ensures that memorials maintain their beauty and legibility over time. Additionally, selecting North American granite can result in faster delivery times compared to overseas options.
Why should I order directly from a quarry-direct monument company instead of my funeral home or cemetery?
Quarry-direct monument companies source granite directly from the quarry and work with manufacturers to craft your monument. This approach guarantees superior quality, faster delivery, and more competitive pricing. In contrast, funeral homes and cemetery caretakers often rely on third-party vendors and external manufacturers, which can result in unknown quality, uncertain quarry origins, longer wait times, and higher costs due to added middleman fees.
How much will my memorial cost?
Headstone pricing depends on several factors, with the size and material of the marker being the most significant. The material you choose determines the available customization options, like lettering, finishes, and artwork. Please contact us today to get an accurate estimate. (610) 876-9201
