I cannot express enough the amazing services the Womens Center offers. From advocacy at the court house with PFA's, safe and secure shelter if needed, counseling for both mom and children and the caring and wonderful supportive staff that work there to support, help and serve the needs of women and children. Domestic violence and sexual assault robe and destroy people and families but please know that if you are in this situation or ever find yourself in one, they can help. The therapy and programs I have been part of have been a huge part of my own personal healing and because of this I will forever be an advocate for them in my own way.

My daughter and her two kids are homeless and her ID was lost. The agency she was going to for help to find a place didn't tell her at first that they wouldn't open a file for her and start helping her find a place without an ID. Her time at the shelter is up and she and her children are out. They don't care either. I have a very small efficiency apartment and it's with the housing authority so I can't have them here and it breaks my heart. Her boyfriend is useless. Aparrently there are no other shelters fo women but there are plently for men. Why?

So kind, caring and helpful. Be prepared to do a lot of legwork to get back on your feet because they don't do all the work for you.
