  Edit: Right now there are two different congregations that meet here on Sundays. One is at 9am and the other is at 11:30am. I try to arrive at least 5 minutes early, but there are always seats available if I'm a little late. While most people dress up a bit (skirt/dress slacks for ladies, dress pants & collared shirt for gentlemen), it's not a big deal if you come in a work uniform or in more casual clothes—everyone knows that's not what really matters. One other note... the hours listed are not really accurate. There isn't a full time staff here (It's all volunteer operated), so if you decide to drop in, do so on a Sunday between 8:30-2:30pm. That's your best bet. There are other activities during the week but it varies day to day. Original review: I have been to many different congregations and this one is very special. I first came with my in-laws when I was visiting and really liked the women's group especially. When we moved to Portland to be near family, I was excited to start attending here. I love the speakers and classes. As others have said, it is a little hard to find the parking lot entrance. I recommend entering on the Garden Home entrance when coming for the first time. I now turn in on the Multnomah side, but it's a tricky entrance for newcomers.

  My family has been attending church in this building for several years. The feeling there is always edifying, uplifting, and enlightening. Messages shared during regular Sunday meetings are focused on Jesus Christ. It has been a great blessing for me and my family. There are meetings and activities for all ages and it is open to the public.

  This place is life altering. Answers to all life questions can be answered here. And, everyone is considered family. Smiles are broad and the people are extremely welcoming and comforting. The service is uplifting. There's a lot of parking. The parents are comforting to their children, and the children are very positive and confident. The members are caring and absolutely attentive to each and everyone needs and feelings. And, everyone seems to feel for one another a love that fills the building with an energy that's indescribable. And, it is so important to each and every person there that each soul has a chance to experience the joy and freedom that comes with the belief in Jesus Christ. There's no judgement passed and everyone is welcome. The setting is peaceful and calls one in to want to be there. Everyone goddess around like there is a certain unity that is proven to be from only one possible source. God! It is a peaceful, clean, inviting atmosphere that makes you want to come back for more.
