  We just moved our mom into Crystal Terrace and so far, our impression is very favorable! Brieaunna has been wonderful to work with, the facility is very nice and clean. The other residents are so friendly and welcoming and it's obvious they are very happy there!

  When I walked in expecting to talk to a former employee I was feeling nervous and a little concerned. But the new director of sales Brianna was absolutely amazing. She made me feel welcome she made me feel seen and heard. She was able to answer all of my questions and put my uncertainty to rest. She made me feel like this was the right choice for my mother. I was impressed with the facility and all of the staff that I met with and talked with. The residences I saw all seemed happy and well taken care of. If my mother ends up in this facility and everything goes as it seems I would highly recommend Crystal terrace for your loved ones needs as they advance in life.

  My Dad is in memory care here. The rent is increasing by almost 700 dollars a month which is 19 percent more. My parent's retirement and social security did not increase by that much nor did anyone's wages. That is an insane amount of rent increase. This company is very wealthy and I know that they do not pay their workers enough. There have been three directors in the two years they have been there. Every time I am there, I am constantly advocating for my dad for them to brush his teeth or help him brush them twice a day. They might do it for a while but then it stops. I had bought 3 tubes of toothpaste over nine months ago for him and when I saw him I think it was in December, one had barely been used. I constantly try to ask caregivers to please help him brush his teeth. I have bought many toothbrushes. He does not have top teeth and I explain every time that we would please like him to keep his bottom teeth so that he can still talk and enjoy food. For over 11K a month, I would think they could do this. All it takes is a piece of paper in the bathroom and employees signing or initialing the date and time of when they brush his teeth and shower him. It is not difficult nor time consuming to record this. It just takes picking up a pen right then and there and signing with a date and time. There have also been times where he is not wiped properly and hospice will come in and see it when they shower him. It is in his care plan that they shower him when needed. It is not the job of hospice. Hospice is separate but so many of these facilities think that they can just let hospice do it twice a week. We are paying Crystal Terrace. Cash pay. From what I was told in December that they were doing better with that but I will definitely find out when I talk to hospice. As far as his teeth go, I have heard excuses like "he didn't want us to brush them". Well, then employees need to be trained on learning to encourage patients and how to gain trust. 11K a month is a lot of money and the hygiene piece is important. This company I am sure could pay their people a lot more and there would be retention. But, they won't. The current manager seems to really care and is trying hard but I have seen so much turnover in the last few years, and in my opinion, the elderly need consistency, especially in memory care. MBK could pay a lot more, but they won't.
