BrightPath Academy Wanless Park, previously known as ABC Academy Wanless Park, is located at 18 and 20 Melrose Ave., just off of Yonge Street in the Yonge and Lawrence area. Our child care centre has been located in these two houses, side-by-side, since 2007 and has spaces for 84 children between the ages of 4 months to 4 years old.
We offer a play-based approach that fosters independence and teaches and encourages the children to experiment with play, explore, and inquire about the world around them. We offer many enrichment programs such as French with Madame Aleks, X Movement Music and Dance, the Jolly Phonics program, WeeMove, and Yoga and Mindfulness programs.

The staff and teachers were incredible and there was a strong sense of community amongst the families who attended, which was especially comforting given that it was through the pandemic which was an otherwise isolating time. When we became pregnant with my son, we didn’t even consider any other childcare centre. He has now been attending Brightpath Wanless Park for seven months and he is loving it! They do so many creative and engaging activities with the kids. And the enrichment with additional French and music classes is amazing. Another draw for us for their awesome backyard play space. It’s large, shaded, and has a great variety of activities for the kids to explore. Our experience with Brightpath has been incredibly positive and I would definitely recommend it to any families looking for childcare for their little ones!

We started in the infant program and transitioned to the toddler. Teachers are supportive and caring during transition. They keep adding various fun activities for kids to develop in all aspects. They send daily, weekly, and monthly updates to parents and communication through a mobile app is simple and immediate.

- RBReem BFeb 14, 20225.0ABC is an exceptional daycare. Our daughter started at 12 months and she absolutely loves it. The teachers were so supportive during her transition period. Each room my daughter attended was spacious, bright, clean, and had developmentally appropriate toys, tables, chairs, etc. The WIFI camera access is also a nice feature so we could watch her throughout the day if we wanted to. Teachers update through the BP connect app throughout the day and send photos or videos when they can. You can message them on the app too and they get back to you quickly. Starting your child in daycare can be so stressful especially in a pandemic when you can't go inside, but ABC allowed us to come to outdoor time before starting and that was a great opportunity to meet the teachers and for our daughter to meet the other kids. All around great experience sending our daughter there full time.

He had a few challenges with feeding, prior to going to school and they taught him how to use a sippy cup. We are grateful for all that he has learned and are sad to be leaving.
