*By Appointment Only Monday through Saturday*
No matter your story, we welcome you to join us as we all try to be a little bit better, a little bit kinder, a little more helpful—because that’s what Jesus taught. We are a diverse community of followers of Jesus Christ and welcome all to worship here. We fellowship together as well as offer youth and children’s programs.
Jesus Christ can make you a better person. You can make us a better community. Come worship with us. Church services are held every Sunday. Visitors are always welcome.
They recently claimed ownership of a large parking lot that much of the neighbourhood was using one half of for many years, posting signs warning of towing. Unfortunately someone is lying as landlords told neighbouring tenants that the parking lot was shared ownership with Caa South Central Ontario, which you can see marked with a dividing line and separate property number (393 on which you can see parked cars in photo and mentioned gate if you click on vs 383 which is the church's number) on google maps, and if you walk by in person you will notice the prominent gate separating what previously appeared to be the - separate - church parking lot.
I will verify ownership later this week as I am arriving home from work and everything is closed, and then update the review for others, report the error on the map if applicable, and follow up with whoever misinformed me as it is disruptive and annoying. I have a feeling the church does own the lot, however I did not realize it was maintained as I had to shovel my area last winter. However, I realize google maps could be wrong/misleading as it sometimes has errors, and perhaps landlords are giving false information to entice people to live in the area.
I'm extremely angry because I did not anticipate needing to cross reference information given to me by landlords with city records in regards to parking. I am new to Hamilton before living here and in the city I am from, this was not a regular practice to have to do. My sympathies to the church if the lot is owned in full by you, however also maybe clearly labelled signage would have been appreciated three years ago (or earlier that's when I moved in).
For others that are similarly annoyed there is a municipal car park at 25 East Avenue N #7, Hamilton, ON L8L 1P3; monthly passes are available. Or car lot 56. There are some others.
Church should know that this is happening and that's why people are using the lot; landlords should stop informing people in the neighbourhood that the lot is public parking if it is not.
Perhaps church could sell passes for extra income if applicable.
Thanks,.
Updated: ok I have figured it out and identified the owners and situation, the documents I got have a lot of personal information so I won't attach them actually out of respect and have found alternative parking. This was a lot confusing lol. I hope owners will be compassionate to others that similar to myself were not well informed; PS you are not nice people for doing this right before snow is due to fall, you chose the worst time of year for a lot of the people that live here are not really doing well I notice Hamilton since moving here is pretty rough in this area, feel kinda bad for my neighbours which is why I cared so much. I rate 3 stars b/c overall just extremely confusing nobody communicated properly and I had to pay for records and shit to figure out who was telling the truth, nobody gave great advance notice.
