We recently went back to get a certified copy of our Marriage License for the Real Id's from the Court House directly across from the Chapel and went over to visit. What's funny as we were taking pictures outside, Patricia Jones who is the Daughter of Lavern Harris who owned the Chapel who was a witness to our wedding on our Marriage License laughed through the glass on the front door as we entered and asked how long ago we were married there. She tells me it happens all the time. Leslie Couch was the Pastor at the time of our wedding and since then he has passed away which was sad but the place still has the same luster as it did when we were married there. Just a simple place to get married but has a lasting place in my wife and I's hearts for so long now. To us it didn't have to be fancy, the money we practically saved was used for other things that made us happy and was more useful in that way instead of all the glitter. If you love someone as much as I did for my girl, then that is what counts the most and has lasted for over 38 years. I made the right choice in this wonderful person who I call my precious wife. What is interesting as we were leaving, a wedding was getting ready to happen and they asked me to be a witness for them. I wished them the very best and hope that they are just as successful in their love for each other as we have had.
