Lawton Ritter Gray provided our family with an exceptional funeral experience. Linda, Dena and Janie were professional, kind, and compassionate. My Mom looked so beautiful thanks to Janie. I’m so appreciative that everything was taken care of with such thoughtfulness and respect. I would highly recommend.

What a bunch of lovely staff members! They had plenty of patience listening to our questions as my siblings and I were new to planing a funeral. They were very confident, knowledgeable, reassuring, thoughtful and professional! We did not feel pressured to make decisions. Planing my mother's funeral did not feel like a transaction and or a business deal. They took care of the administrative aspect while we had time to comfort and care for our family through very difficult greiving times. The location has a beautiful ambiance. Plenty of gathering rooms with a boutique but modern feel. We were very pleased! I don't think some of my family member's had much faith that we could make our mother's home going so peaceful and elegant but we did with the collaboration of Lawton Riddle Gray Funeral Home and staff! Thank you for referring and booking Mr Brook's family for clergy services as well! Linda thank you for the country lemonade too, she is so sweet :)

I was very happy and impressed with the way your staff handled the viewing and direct creamation of my sister. She was treated with respect and compassion and presented as a loved one for viewing. Erica did an outstanding job with our requests and made the whole process easier. Thank you to everyone involved.

Lawton Ritter Gray is truly phenomenal. My parents set up a contract with them years ago, and they helped set up every tiny detail. At the time my father died, we had a glitch with another home picking him up. My mother was beside herself, but Erika immediately jumped into action and straightened it all out. They worked out all the military arrangements and provided impeccable services. Our family cannot thank them enough for the care, compassion, and attention to detail they provided at every step.

Should I choose Burial or Cremation?
Burial in a casket is the most common method of disposing of remains in the United States, although entombment also occurs. Cremation is increasingly selected because it can be less expensive and allows for the memorial service to be held at a more convenient time in the future when relatives and friends can come together.
A funeral service followed by cremation need not be any different from a funeral service followed by a burial. Usually, cremated remains are placed in urn before being committed to a final resting place. The urn may be buried, placed in an indoor or outdoor mausoleum or columbarium, or interred in a special urn garden that many cemeteries provide for cremated remains. The remains may also be scattered, according to state law.
What is the purpose of embalming?
Embalming sanitizes and preserves the body. Embalming makes it possible to lengthen the time between death and the final disposition, allowing family members time to arrange and participate in the type of service most comforting to them.
