My dad and I moved my mom into Cardinal Court this week. Their motto is People.Passsion.Excellence. This motto was certainly shown this week! Mom's move in went so smoothly! At our Roundtable discussion before she moved in, I was able to personally meet with the Chef - Joey, Activities Director - Kailey Health Services Coordinator- Dustin and Community Development Director - Holly. Holly and Dustin have truly taken such good care of me and my dad during this difficult process, so I am confident that they will take care of mom. Any question I have asked they have answered with lots of passion and concern for my uncertainties. I see a staff that has passion for their residents. I was so impressed with David in the dining area with his guidance and friendliness. He asked about my mom's food preferences and likes and made sure that she was seated with the perfect residents to eat with. He then personally walked us to the first activity. It is apparent that the employees enjoy working at Cardinal Court. They are readily available to help not only residents but visiting families. They encouraged us to visit often and take part in the activities with mom and the residents. Every room that we have been in has a beautiful view to the outside patios and indoor courtyard. For me this is beautiful as I love to see the outside and feel like I am in my home with lots of windows. I was so impressed that an aide that is not assigned to my mom's area remembered who I was, and who my mom was was so willing to help me with my questions. I'm sorry I don't know her name! Every time I have visited the nurses station they have made time for me and answered my questions with so much patience and concern. Thank you so much to Penni Dunlap, Executive Director who personally answered the phone the other day to help me out. It is clear that you have such an impressive staff that works well together. I am grateful to become a part of your family as we participate with you during this time of our lives. I have already told my husband and grown children that if I develop any form of. dementia that I would want to be taken to Cardinal Court or to use their community as a benchmark to reflect the kind of care I would like to receive in my "Golden Years." Thank you so much Cardinal Court! Debbie Gonczy

Throughout the entire time that my geriatric care client stayed at Cardinal Courts we've been nothing but pleased with the excellent care he received! All of the staff, front desk receptionist and the administrator were welcoming and tuned in to my client's care needs. Would recommend this facility to my families in the future!

Although my experience with The Cardinal Court Memory Care has been due to a very unique situation, I would highly recommend this memory care facility. My father became a resident at The Cardinal Court when his second wife admitted him without discussing it with my brother or myself. Though diagnosed with dementia, our father is very independent, engaging mentally and physically, and we were of the opinion he did not yet belong in a memory care unit. Because of this, we were forced to file a legal complaint against his wife as he had chosen her as his POA. The legal process took several months, but The Cardinal Court's Executive Director, Kim, and Director of Nursing, Scott, were fantastic through this difficult period of time, thoroughly assisting our family through a very trying situation. Finding a professional, clean, and responsible care facility for elders can be an extremely difficult and scary decision. The Cardinal Court is the Ritz Carlton of memory care facilities. Newly built and opened in 2018, its beautifully designed diamond-shape layout allows residents to walk around comfortably for health and leisure. The facility and rooms were very clean and smelled great, especially important amidst a pandemic. The building has tall ceilings, wide halls, and comfortable rooms and bathrooms. There are two TV rooms and two dining rooms for the different levels of care, allowing residents to engage socially and make friends. The facility felt warm and homey, with tall cabinetry, housing antiques, memorabilia, and photos. The architect and designers did a superb job in creating a comfortable home environment for a 24/7 care facility. My favorite feature was the inner outdoor courtyard for relaxing and visiting while enjoying the weather. The grounds are well landscaped, with a fountain as a centerpiece and tables and chairs for the residents and guests. The facility kept our dad busy with scheduled activities for a few hours throughout each day, a very important asset for residents struggling with dementia. The staff were attentive, helpful, and caring, and I was highly impressed by all those I met with. I visited our father more than 20 times and ate at the resident dining facility twice. While I do believe the food and kitchen could be improved upon, the meals I received were above average. Although my brother and I were actively seeking to remove my father from the care facility, we were very impressed with how he was treated and the care he received in the months he spent at The Cardinal Court. Kim and Scott were very professional and remained neutral parties throughout the process, as we had hoped. They treated my family with respect and made an extra effort to guarantee our active father was doing his best and engaging mentally and physically. Both administrators listened to our complaints about the legal and POA system and gave us guidance throughout the process, ensuring all formalities and paperwork were accurately in place to allow our father to return home and live with his children. Based upon my experience with The Cardinal Court, I would grade the facility an A+. If, and/or when, a time comes in which we can no longer care for our father at home, The Cardinal Court, with Kim and Scott in leadership, will be at the top of my list. I highly recommend this care facility to others.
