While the longtime caregivers remain dedicated and attentive- frequent staff turnover, inconsistent hiring standards, and inadequate cleaning services and safety measures did not meet my expectations.
I experienced multiple concerns including my child being sent home wearing two layered dirty diapers—the inner diaper was not the brand we provided and was wet, while their usual diaper brand we provided was placed over it and also wet. Additionally, room-temperature coffee was spilled on them, and undertrained staff used inappropriate teaching methods. When my child was in the infant room I also observed cleanliness issues, such as unsanitary toys and mini-fridges. Their bathrooms are also worn down and dirty.
The most significant concern I had was regarding pick-up security. The keypad system is vulnerable as parents often hold the door for others. In the school-age wing, the front desk is frequently unattended, and the daycare wing relies solely on the keypad with no additional supervision. I noticed that new or temporary staff members are not introduced to families, which can lead to issues with identifying authorized caregivers during pick-up. On one occasion, I was able to pick up my child without being asked for identification by a temporary staff member we had never met. This temporary staff member was the only staff present at pick up in my child's room, which raised concerns about the security process. I addressed this with the director and staff at the time, but was told there were "no good solutions," and that another staff member across the hall was providing supervision while also caring for other children. Unfortunately, this response did not resolve my concerns.
The director was open to discussing my concerns and we met more than once to address issues, but despite best efforts I ultimately could no longer trust them with my child’s health and safety and cannot confidently recommend this center.

My grandson is attending here for pre k. Wonderful place and I highly recommend it. I gave 4 stars only cause there is one staff member out of all of them I have met that doesn't fit in the group. The rest all deserve 5 star rating. Very caring and love the children.

We are so happy with KidsFirst! My son is happy to go every day and the things he has learned in a short period of time is incredible. The teachers and staff are amazing and really care about each child! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

My son (3 years old) started at KidsFirst roughly 5 months ago and has excelled in learning, vocabulary and social skills. I attribute his success to his teacher Ms. Judy. I've read some of the other reviews and like any school setting the teacher can make or break a child. The receptionists have been nothing but nice and respectful each time I call. Overall, I'm very pleased with the professionalism, quality of care given to my son and especially thankful for his teacher.

The quality in teachers here is very inconsistent. There are a lot of good teachers at this school, but the bad do outweigh the good as I never know who will be placed in my sons care should one of his normal teachers be out.
My sons previous preschool room with Michelle was a terrible experience. As soon as my son was moved to her class from the younger classroom, he started acting out a lot. Every day I would get a page or two worth of notes from incident reports about what he had done wrong that day. One of which included something as benign as my son playing with his spit. Also on every occasion when I would bump into Michelle, she had nothing but bad things to say about my son. Once I began to pay more attention to Michelle’s teaching style, I noticed why my son was acting out. She does not appear to like her job at all. She also never seemed to provide positive reinforcement for the children which led to continued misbehavior. There was also one occasion where I was dropping my son off in the morning and overheard her gossiping with another teacher about another parent.
After a couple months in her room, luckily the facility decided to make two preschool rooms and he was moved into Kayla and Stephanies room. They appear to really like their job and my son loves them. He has been with them for a while now and I can tell he is much happier. As soon as my son turns 4 and moves out of this room, we will probably start looking to enroll him somewhere else.
I would also like to point out that there was one occasion where I picked my son up at the end of the day, and my son had had a temperature, his eyes were all watery and red, and he was clearly fatigued (he passed out right when he got home). When I dropped him off that morning, I let the teacher know that his allergies seemed to be bothering him and to let me know if he got worse so I could pick him up. I was never called or notified. I was later told that a substitute had come in that day in place of one of his teachers.
There was another occasion where I picked my son up at 5:30pm with a pull up diaper full of urine. (he is 3 and a half) I presume they had forgotten to take it off after his nap time which ends around 2:30 to 3.
If this facility had more teachers that truly love/like their job, and better consistency I think this daycare would be more worth the very high tuition price. As it stands now though, it really is not worth the price.
