They did good on my husband far as his appearance and set up, but me and the family felt that the service was rush due to them booking services too close together we hardly had time to grieve our loved one. we were rush through prayer at the cemetery the staff were kinda of rude considering how we were a family that was grieving.

My family utilized Pernell Jones Funeral Home since the start of their business. However the manner in which they handled my Mother's Funeral was unacceptable.
First they were 45 mins. late in their arrival to pick our family up for the funeral. Secondly there was a substitute driver in the hearse who was unfamiliar with the route to the cemetery on a Saturday afternoon which ended up taking twice as long. The obituary wasn't available for review until the night before the funeral and my Aunt was inadvertently left off the obituary. Also the inside of my Mothers casket was lined with fresh flowers and apparently they weren't properly stored as they were wilting along with my Mother who appeared shiny. The funeral was in the Fall and on a cool day. I was very disappointed in Pernel Jones Sr. as he had serviced our family well for years but when you turn the business over to the Junior's before they are ready this what occurs. I WILL NEVER USE THIS SECOND RATE FACILITY AGAIN IN THIS LIFETIME. I would give a NO star rating but the app doesn't allow me too.

Pernel Jones Jr is awesome at his job, but his brother Michael Jones leaves a lot to be desired. He was rude at my father's service I believe because my daddy's obituary was printed with the wrong date of birth. The Saturday crew treated my mom, the grieving widow, so badly. We had a contract that the family car with my mom, my blind husband and my wheelchair ridden auntie were supposed to be dropped off back at my daddy's house but the driver was really rude and proceeded to tell them they had to be dropped off at the repast. This was not in our contract. He said he didn't care and dropped my mom, my blind amputee husband, and my wheelchair bound auntie off at the repast on the other side of town without her wheelchair, my uncle had her chair in his car and was waiting for her at my daddy's house. My mom had to find a ride with her sister back to the other side of town. The gentleman who took care of my daddy did an excellent job I wish I knew his name. My advice to anyone who uses this funeral home is as follows: If paying cash triple check, no, quadruple check your obituaries bcus you will not be compensated for incorrect obituaries( Pernel Jr reprinted our obituaries for no cost but if you've family coming from 8 states a reprint doesn't do anything to help when it's after the day of the service ) bring your contract with you for the service you arranged and paid for so that it can be enforced with no problems...I would recommend this place but keep your contract handy...this was my first time making arrangements for a closely related loved one so the grief was so near to my heart but hindsight is 20/20. One family's story to another I hope it helps and if you're reading this bcus you're making those final arrangements for your loved one may God keep you wrapped in his loving arms. The Fips Family
