Night shift nurse Lydia the most deeply unpleasant nurse I’ve ever meet in my life at this facility. I wouldn’t trust her to care my pet hamster let alone a human being. She makes me want to give this facility negative stars just from the possibility of her taking care of someone I care for. You cannot ask her to do the smallest task from her without her miserable personality coming through and ruining any small amount of joy you may have in your life. She makes the grinch look pleasant. Besides that the rest of the staff is friendly and helpful.

If you care about your family member, DO NOT use this facility! By the time we got my family member out of Sanctuary Point, I started thinking maybe they were trying to kill her. Every time I arrived to visit her, she was sitting on one side of the room soaked in urine and her nurse call button was attached to the bed on the other side of the room. If she had had a medical emergency, she would have been dead. She would sit for hours without anyone checking on her. She would call me in the middle of the night because it was so loud she couldn't sleep. And yes, I could hear over the phone, the laughing and loud talking that would be occurring at 1:00 a.m. On weekends, forget help. Nobody hardly on staff. My impression is that employees came to work to socialize. It had nothing to do with caring for patients. On many occasions while visiting, when she would call for help, nobody ever came. When they did, it took at least 15 minutes or longer. When she would tell them she needed to use the bathroom, they told her to go in her diaper. They strip away any dignity a person has left when they arrive there. They also don't go out of their way to keep the rooms clean. This place needs some serious investigation into the staff. Especially directors and supervisors since this type of work ethic is tolerated.

Money grab!!! Billing Medicaid and providing substandard care (especially after hours and during shift change). Staff even stated that the family should not be concerned with cost of care as it is being billed to Medicare. Its sad they way seniors are treated (long wait times, insensitive/rude staff). The staff makes one feel like you are bothering them. I personally witnessed long wait times before staff addresses basic needs such as toileting.
Reaching out to the State of Ohio (Ombudsman) and Job and Family Services/Medicare to share concerns and request an investigation.
I find it interesting that Sanctuary Pointe asked for a review within the first few days of admission. At that time, the experience was such that I agreed. Three months later...I would beg to differ. Its a sad day when a senior has to expend their monthly pension and receive substandard care :(
Moving my mom out of this facility!!!
WORD OF ADVICE...visit to the facility before making a decision for your loved one. Schedule and unscheduled visits, especially during a shift change or second shift. A weekend visit will be eye opening..
