So I know everyone one on her want to give this place a 1 star but that wouldn’t be fair because ny is extremely expensive. If you want you own space it’s gonna cost. The reason why I won’t give them 1 star is because the was is actually fairly clean they give you a clean towel and clean bed to relax inn my room had Tubi, Netflix etc.The cons some rooms got bugs my room had roaches I paid 162 for that room . They moved me to another room didn’t eat anything or bring food I was okay for the night. The pricing for what they charge is not fair at all the building looks like it use to be a jail or some someone next to me was banging on my wall. The staff was very respectful and always was professional when I had problem. If this all you can do it’s okay if you get the right room I highly recommend recommend going down on price cause I wouldn’t complain. People always say you get what you pay for.

This has been one of the worst places I have ever stayed at. We booked a private room with a private bathroom, but the experience was very disappointing. The shower was terrible, there was no hot water, and we had to use the gym showers instead. There were no hair dryers available, not in the bedroom and not even in the men’s gym changing room. My husband had to dry his hair using a hand dryer. There is absolutely no attention to detail. The room felt depressing, almost like a prison cell, we had to move forniture around to make it look more like a room. The bed was very small, which was especially uncomfortable since my husband is 6’4”. Even something simple, like changing the flooring to carpet or something more pleasant, would make a big difference. I’ve stayed in other hostels before, and none of them have been this bad. If you plan to use the swimming pool, make sure to bring a swim cap, or you won’t be allowed in. Also, bring your own shampoo and conditioner, because there isn’t any provided, not even in the gym. The sauna and steam room were decent but not properly cleaned. The staff clearly have no understanding of customer service. When I went to the front desk to ask for information, the person replied to me as if I were stupid just because I didn’t already know the answer. The only good thing about this place is its location, but even that doesn’t justify the $300 we spent for such poor service.

This place definitely met my expectations according to the price and was comfortable, offering great value and being truly worth the price. It is ideal for travelers who are not looking for luxury and need a simple and basic option for a budget-friendly stay. I stayed in a private room with a shared bathroom. The space was exactly as indicated at the time of booking, clean and functional. Although the facilities included shared bathrooms, I never had an issue with availability—it was easy to use them whenever needed. This is a comfortable place for people who don't expect much and need a base for exploring the city. The location is fantastic. It is just two blocks away from Central Park and about a 6-minute walk to the subway station, which makes getting around the city very easy. It is definitely a nice place to stay when on a budget.

I did not even take pictures; I should because it was the worse... I paid $250.59 a night during marathon weekend for a standard 2-bunk bed room. It was my 3rd time. I booked in December 2025 and completely forgot., The next time I heard about them was October 31st 2025 and I could not cancel. There is no improvement. The location is nice for sure but except that this place is so outdated. No hook in the room to hang clothes. No micro-wave. It was my third time with a TV and no remote. Even after asking at the front desk I never got the remote. It is like TV is fake. Great if you want to go back 50 years ago. Really no a reflection of NYC.
