Very clean facility. They are on top of keeping it that way. No issues with the fellow ymca attendees which is good. Their pool is very nice and sauna as well.

Came in to pause my membership on Sunday 11/30 around 12:30 pm. There was only one gentleman in the front desk, and he clearly seemed annoyed. I tried to be very nice asking him how he was and his attitude was very like ājust get to the pointā, which can make any person uncomfortable or thrown off. Usually when thereās a bad interaction between a staff member and a customer, thereās more to the backstory and more likely both parties are at fault, but this guy just seemed annoyed at everyone and everything. His attitude was not only towards me, but everyone coming in the front desk. There were two other persons, young adults, that walked in around that same time frame 12:30-12:50 that seemed like it was their first time coming in so they didnāt really know where to scan or what to do in order to access the facility. He was like ājust scanā and didnāt even bother to show them where to scan nor to help one of them out, which was clearly having trouble scanning the barcode.
Itās one thing to have that attitude that usually younger adults working there have, than the āyou are annoying meā attitude towards customers.
Unfortunately, I donāt remember his name.
YMCA is a really good place, especially LIC branch, and all of their staff is very helpful and nice. But interactions like this can really make a negative impact on existing members and future/new ones.
